How many places can u register at?? Poll

I was wondering I wanted Linen N Things and Fortuoff and Fiance wanted William Sonoma and Target can I register at 4 places or is that too much!

I say you can do whatever you want.. BUT.. you have to make sure you don't register for the same stuff.. I found it hard, to register at 2 places, you can only register for so much.. we did, bed bath and beyone, williams and sonoma and pier 1, and Our williams and sonoma got bought out by our engagement party.. so now we have two.. I say its up to you

I think it's too much. Pick the two store that have the most of what you want in different price ranges. If you do two big stores, like Fortunoff and Target, than maybe you can get away with a specialty store like William Sonoma, but even that may be pushing it. JMO.

I think it is too much. i had the hardest time finding anything different in any of the stores. All the registries seem to have the same stuff on it.

ETA - I am only registerd at bloomingdales. It is in the city so everyone can get to it very easily.

We registered at two, but I wish we only had reg at one. All of my guests seemed to go to registry (bed bath and beyond)
In reality I wanted the more expensive gifts from fortunoffs
We had a lot of left over things, to complete sets that I wound up buying myself.

Since you both wanted two places... I would say you both should compromise and pick one out of the two and register at both those places. I think it may seem a little greedy to register at 4 places but thats JMO

I think the more places you register the more difficult it is for your guests to decide what to get you ! You may end up with everything frm the bottom of your list.

i would say two places...

one is too little.. the guest feel constricted to the one store..

if you have too many, then all guests may go to just one store, and you may end up with nothing from the other three...

I have a TINY registry at Pottery barn - some napkins and a salad bowl. I REALLY want that salad bowl though.

My major registries are at Macy's and Crate and Barrel. I also created registries at Target, Amazon.com and fortunoff, but I don't really have anything in them and I'm not telling anyone about them.

Registries are fun!

we are doing 3 places..they all carry similar things but each store...we are more focus in one area then the others....selection is good but 4 is too much

if you do 4, thats alot a work, maybe duplicate items..etc

we didn't even finsih 1 yet...alot harder then i thought

That is true thank u for all of your suggestions!! I'm actually pretty organized so I have everything that I registered for at every store so that is a good thing!

I will most likely NOT register, however here is my take on them from 2 different perspectives:

1. as a guest - make sure you provide a local store that is easy to get to, and one that has online ordering for us web junkies... also make sure there is a wide range $$ wise...

2. as a bride - rumor has is that if you create a registry and not all items are purchased, some places allow you to buy the remaining items at a discounted rate. so if you are going to need and buy the stuff anyway, tack it on and buy it afterwards! in this case the more the merrier...but i would only formally state that i have 2 options.

We did 4, only because we have people coming from all over the country, and I KNOW that there are only 2 of the stores near a lot of our Out-of-Town guests. I wanted to make it easy on everyone.
