How many Rhs did you look at?

I have soo many on my list. I need a place that is going to be great for a reall, really good price, this is my reason for wanting to look at soooo many.
But, I wanted to know also is did you look at more then one in a day?
I am miss organized and trying to do things in a strech of a few days, I don't want to travel over and over agin with these gas prices,

I had a list of 6 places and wound up going to 4 - the last one we signed with..

I found it really useful to use mapquest - they have a new service on there - that you can map a trip with multiple stops! I was able to figure out the best way to go using their map - since it shows you A, B, C, D on the map!

i think we looked at about 6 or so before we decided. we ended up picking the first one that we visited. maybe you should pick up or borrow the wedding reception magazine for nassau, suffolk, queens. it'll help narrow down the search. you can definitely plan a couple in a day. we just mapquested each reception hall in relation to each other and made a day of it.

i think we looked at about 6...

like you, we were on a very strict budget, so i was able to narrow it down considerably.... i.e. we didn't go look at Carlye on the Green or places like that that we knew would be out of our league.

good luck...you'll find something you love at a price we can live with!

I have the magazine that has the list, thats where I got most ideas from,lol. I looked and anything that started at a high price I won't look at!!!

We looked at about 5, but we limited ourselves considerably based on location and price.

We looked at 9. A very helpful thing would be to loook at the price quote thread on here and immediately eliminate places that are out of your price range. When I went, the most I went to in one day was 3 RHs. I also went back to the one I booked once more with my FILs and my parents. I still hvae the quotes I was given for those places, for on peak (August) Fridays and Saturdays, FM me if you want any of these:

Atlantica
Crest Hollow Country Club
Venetian Yacht Club
Land's End
Floral Terrace
Sand Castle
The Bourne Mansion
Fox Hollow
Westbury Manor

Between myself, my mother and FH, we probably looked at about 25 places. It was crazy, but worth the search because we found a great place that works in our budget. good luck with your search

We had a list of about 6-7 and only visited 3 of them. We live out of town, so narrowed it down before making appointments.

I have started calling someplaces but,some dont do quotes over phone , so I figured I'd still lokk at them and see how good they come off in person.
