We made an offer immediately after seeing the house...and when I say immediately, I mean in the driveway.

It was the first day it was on the market and we knew it was going to go fast. Turned out we were already the 2nd offer that morning.

once...on the spot...1st to see it...right after a brokers open house!!

Once- we saw it on a Friday, spent the weekend talking about it and called on Monday to make the offer. Just in time, too.

3 times. Once at the open house (we loved it but weren't sure we were ready to buy - we didn't expect to find something that quick - we were looking for a couple months casually). We drove by it a second time just to peek and the ower saw and recognized us and called us in to look at it. Third time we went and bid on it after talking to owner and realtor during the week and getting our questions answered.

Us too, and for more than one house. With the market the way it is , if you are the second person to see a house, you might lose it

With our first house 3 yrs ago, we bid on the spot. We had seen so many overpriced dumps that when we saw this one, we knew we couldn't let it get away. I completely agree that sometimes if you're the second person to see a house, you may have lost it!!!

This year, with our soon-to-be new house, we went 3 times before we bid. The first time we just were casually looking at the open house-- loved the house but thought it was overpriced. Two days later the realtor called to say they had lowered the price. That weekend, we had the realtor show us the house on a Saturday, and looked at it much more carefully. Finally we went to the open house they were having on Sunday and placed the bid.

We saw it once - the day it was listed. There was another couple there (than my DH knew) and they put in a bid also.
