How much are you planning to spend in total on the honeymoon?

FH and I are going to Tahiti/Bora Bora. We decided to splurge and go for two weeks w/ chartering a boat and sailing around for a week, then staying in one of those over water bungalos for the 2nd week. We figured that we are only going to do it once - so why not? Unfortuntely it will be around $11k - but we factored it into our budget...

I am almost (but not quite) more excited for the honeymoon!!

Have you gotten quotes on this yet? I need travel agent recommendations. We are also looking into the overwater bungalos. I agree...I am almost more excited for the honeymoon!

We are prob spending about 5-7k...we are going to Europe so I cant see it being much cheaper then that.

FH is in charge of the HM. He has a TA through American Express, and so far, I think the quote was around $11k. I think the overwater bungalows of the place that we were looking was around $900 a night (sooooo friggin expensive - but, its a HM - so whatever - I can deal!) This is round trip from LA to Tahiti, with 1 weeks boat rental and another 6/7 nights on an overwater bungalow. We arent too concerned about the airfare from NY to LA b/c luckily we can get free domestice airfare (FH's Best Man is a pilot for a commercial airline and is going to help up out)... Other than American Express (we have rewards points!) we havent really researched any other TAs....
