I know what people spend on things is a touchy subject and if you don't want to answer or want to FM me, that's fine... I'm just trying to get a handle on our budget. I'm trying to figure out where we can cut costs since we went 5K over budget on the venue (WHOOPS! It'll be worth it, even if FH doesn't see it yet )
Flowers was something I didn't budget much for because it's not something I know ANYTHING about.. so I budgeted 2K.. is this enough? We'll need my bouquet (nothing huge or cascading), 4 BM bouquets, 7 bouteniers (how the hell do you spell that?), and 2 corsages.. and we'll have about 17 tables at the reception. We're thinking all low center pieces or MAYBE alternating high/low if we can swing it. When FH proposed, he used votive candles everywhere so now we have 144 of those so I'm hoping we can make use of them somehow lol
So what are you girls spending and what are you getting for it? I don't want to go to a florist and tell them my budget and leave in tears

We were quoted a little over $3800 for 17 tall centerpieces plus the bridal/bridesmaids bouquets etc. We ended up paying $3600 since we're paying the florist all cash. This cost doesn't include the chuppah at $1200, but thats in the air since we have yet to see Chateau Briands chuppah.
Depending on where you go, $2000 may not be enough. When we toyed with the idea of doing high and low centerpieces, we found out the low centerpieces were still rather expensive ($120 each) , so we just went with high centerpieces; 13 tall, and 4 manzinita trees. I'll fm you some prices from other florists so you can compare. I've heard some ladies got great deals with Burton's and Wicks, so maybe check them out, and see if they work with your budget.

I didn't do flowers yet. But I went with one of my bridesmaids when she was getting married to her florist appointment and she spent a lot less than she budgeted for, at Burton's. They're definitely worth checking out. You definitely won't leave crying, lol.

We got our florist down to 3,000.... That is for Bridal bouquet, 5 bouquet's for BM, 8 boutonnieres for the men (including my father, ring bearer etc), flower girl basket, 4 corsages (moms and grandmas), 8 tall center pieces, and 8 short centerpieces.... I think I got everything... I hope this helps. We don't need to do flowers for the ceremony as the catering hall provides that :) Any questions send me FM. :)

We're using Black Dahlia in Huntington and are spending about $3500 and our friend is also using them and their quote was $1800. They are so amazing and work with you on your budget. Highly recommend them!!
I'm paying $2200 for 12 low cp, 7 bm bouquet, 1 cascading bouquet for me, 9 boutonnieres, 2 corsages, 1 manzanita tree cp, rose petals scattered on aisle runner, gazebo decorated with flowers and backdrop crystal curtain, and a toss bouquet

It really depends what you want and the size of your bridal party. We are getting 4 groom/groomsmen boutineers, 2 dad boutineers, 4 mom/grandma corsages, a toss bouquet, 3 bridesmaid bouquets, bridal bouquet and 10 centerpieces for about $1240. I would contact Michelle from Hidden Essence. I was laughed out of a lot of flower places because my budget for flowers was super low, but she was able to do everything I wanted for way less than what other places quoted me.

Check out my florist. She will work in your budget and since she works out of her home she is able to keep costs down. I am spending under 1500 for my bouquet, 5 BM, groom and 5 guys boutonnieres, parents/grandparents, and 12 centerpieces (half high half low but not too flowery - more wintery branches).

I'm working with Hidden Essence and they are GREAT. I told her up front that my flower budget was $1000 and asked if we could do the bridal party for less than that (3 bridesmaids, 3 groomsmen, my bouquet, mother of the bride, mother of the groom, father of the bride, father of the groom). She said absolutely- and we're even getting 10 simple centerpieces with hydrangeas for that price. She's definitely willing to work with any budget and I bet you can get what you're looking for for that price, as long as you don't mind going with fairly simple displays.

When meeting with florists tell them you're willing to pay cash, and ask them if they can do anything for you. Some will knocked the price down a couple hundred or at the very least, not charge sales tax. Every little bit saved helps after all :) Good luck, and let us know who you go with!

My friend Stephanie opened her own ship in Lindenhurst cashed blooming floral designs. Age duress great with and is very reasonable. I I needed 20 pieces no centerpieces bc my hall gives me those. And no bridal bouquet bc I'm making a brooch bouquet. I needed 1 fg mini bouquet 2 moh bouquets 5 bm bouquets 10 boutinieres 2 coursages
She told me if I did bouquets with long stem calla lilies in a smaller bouquet she could save me money.....she quoted me around $800 for reg bouquets and $300 for calla lilies. Bridal bouquet is around an extra $150. She is right on sunrise hwy next to 711 in Lindenhurst ask for Stephanie tell her Rose sent you if u go!! Good luck! Hope that helped!!#

We are spending about $5,000 at a flower shop in Brooklyn. We told our guy our budget and he worked with us. We have: 20 tables - all high centerpieces - my bouquet - 7 BM bouquets - 1 MOH bouquet - FH's flower - 10 GM roses - 3 roses for the 3 readers - 1 bouquet for the Blessed Mother during wedding Mass - grandparents' flowers - parents' flowers
We haven't decided on what flowers will be in the church, if any.
