I am using a very low key, local florist...who also happens to be a friend of my Brother-In-Law. She's inexpensive and her flowers are beautiful!!!

It's hard to say what I am spending, because Burton's doesn't break it down like t hat. I can tell you what I was quoted at another florist though:
Mine: 150
MOH: 45
BM: 30

Now, mind you my MOHs (i have 2) were only going to be carrying 3 callalillies, and they were charging me $45!! My bouquet will have white roses, stephanotis, some white fluffy flower and frosted pinecones...

And while we're on the topic of flowers, just want to mention something...
I was in my friend's wedding last weekend - she went top notch on EVERYTHING, including her florist. Her flowers were BEAUTIFUL. Here was the problem - she had stephanotis in her bouquet, and the men wore stephanotis boutennieres. They were brown within 2 hours. She was literally picking them out of her bouquet. The men's were squished flat against their jackets. My other friend who was married at the end of may experienced the exact same problem. I don't know what florists can do about this, but if any of you are getting stephanotis in hot weather, maybe you want to mention this to them? Just wanted to share to help you avoid some potential problems...

I was like Marnles, Burtons gave a quote on everything together, but the 2 dozen calla lillies was qouted by another florist at about $130.

I find that most white flowers do not last as long as other color - gardenias, white roses, etc.. That is part of the reason you will not see a single white flower in my wedding. I hate when flowers get brown and wilted - particularily when Im spending so much.

I did hear that about stephanotis when I was looking for flowers to put in my hair. I ended up with white dendrobium orchids, and they did not wilt turn brown until later in the day. I am getting my pics today and will post as soon I can find someone with a scanner!

I had stephanotis is my bouquet and it lasted all day. In fact all of my flowers were white (mini callas, fressia and stephanotis) and I had fresh flowers all day (and for days after).

I also had floating gardenias on the cocktail tables, and gardenias on my cake. And our centerpieces were white tulips - so I had ALOT of white flowers, with NO problems.

The guys wore dendro orchids - my husbands didn't last long since they were throwing him around (literally). It flattened out and fell off. But the florist supplied extra bouts.

Lisa that is good news that the flowers stayed fresh because I loved Flower Michelle but called a few other florists today who told me his price was less because the quality must be poor so I was getting a little worried. Then again like the other girl said you can spend tons and they still die, I've seen it happen a few times, that is why although a major thing flowers arent that big of an issue for me.

I wouldn't trust any florist that speaks badly about a competitor. My flowers lasted for days!

That includes the gardenias - which are a very fragile flower and quick to brown.
