FH and I want to don't want to spend alot but it seems that every travel agent we talk to gives us higher prices that we would like to spend and we're only going for a week. How much is everyone spending?

i think bw $6-7k for 7 nights at Sandals St. Lucia in an oceanfront penthouse concierge room. including flights and airport transfer, drinks, food, activities etc.
you could get a cheaper or more expensive room but we wanted the inroom bar and room service, a nice room without it being
I agree. Some travel agents try to push a suite but FH won't be spending all our time in the room.
yes, the travel agent we talked to told us we 'absolutely had to get butler service' in one of the most expensive suites they had, or it wasnt worth going. i asked what butler service means, and she said they will unpack and pack for you, and will bring out your dry cleaning, etc. i told her i wanted pack and unpack myself, and i wouldnt be needing any dry cleaning. she said even so, its the nicest rooms they have and it was worth it. *cough*extracommission*cough*?
As long as there is housekeeping to make your bed, clean your bathroom, change your sheets, and there is room service (only in some rooms but ours will have it) i dont need or even want a butler... what's he going to do, stand there and offer you a condom? i think the concierge will help you with any paperwork, plan excursions for you and some other stuff but we really picked that level room because you get room service and the in room bar (free) w/ a concierge room, plus they are still nice rooms!

Re: How much are you spending on your honeymoon?
my aunt & uncle are letting us use their timeshare...sooo really the largest bulk of our HM is airfare, and well to Hawaii...we're talking about $2000 for that...then a car, food and regular spending money..i think i should be good at about $5000 (hell i went on a cruise and only spend $100 extra on the ship, while my friends spent practically $500 - 1000+ each)

Re: How much are you spending on your honeymoon?
fhs parents are paying and were budgeting for $7000 without food/drinks but were planning on doing an allinclusive for 10 days and then a 7 night cruise so pretty much the food and drink is covered anyways. but we keep changing our minds so who knows what we will end up with

We did our homework and we're going on two cruises for a total of 2 weeks for $3000 with airfare. I'm my own travel agent...I bargain shopped til I found the best price.

$10,000
Ours is about that. We didn't pay for the cruise - FH's parents' did- it's our wedding gift. But, we are bring tons of cash with us. It will probably end up being a little more than 10K because of the Euro.
