The trip FH and i LOVE comes to about $8000+ ... We don't have that kind of money ... but it's a once in a lifetime thing so maybe it's ok ...
What do you think - should we calm down a bit and choose something more affordable, or let the credit card companies be happy with our debt?

it was over $6k, but since we booked prices dropped and now its like $4300 or something... yay!!!

We're going to Fiji & it's around 12K (maybe slightly more) when all is said & done. It's a lot of money but I feel like it is a once in a lifetime trip & I cannot wait!!!!

we spent 4,000 on a cruise for 9 days plus another 1000 on drinks on the ship :)

FH and I are going on a 3 month backpacking trip of Asia before our wedding and are expecting to spend less than $10K.
After the wedding, I cannot fathom spending that kind of money again on a week-long vacation. If we do any honeymoon, we might just go to a B&B upstate or take a min-trip to Montreal.
I don't think anyone should have to go into debt for a honeymoon!!! Do something simple to celebrate...there are SO many beautiful and inexpensive places to go. Or just wait until you have the money. What rule is written that you must go on a honeymoon immediately following your wedding?
