I am getting my bonus on Monday and want to buy my dress asap before I spend it (although it was half of what I expected)

i refused to spend more than $750 because i have other things i can spend the money on.

i LOVE my gown!!!

And you looked awesome in it!

I haven't picked my gown yet, but the one that I like so far is $600 - it's Maggie 'Monterey'

I got three price quotes on my dress. $880, $999, and $595. I ordered it today - for, you guessed it $595. Alterations are free, but there is a $45 charge for the bustle.

mine was $900, and I didn't even want my Dad spending that much. I see no point in paying so much $$$$ for a dress I'm wearing for about 8-9 hours.

When the wedding is over I intend to sell it on E-Bay!

along with my tiara and headpiece that was way overpriced....

I saved so much having my dress shipped to my uncle's house in Jersey. My dress would have been $5300 w/ tax. Luckily I only had to pay $55 for shipping. It's the alteration price ($450) I'm not too happy about.

We thought about the Jersey thing but between the gas we would need to get there and back, plus the tolls and what my time was worth lately, it didn't pay for us to have it shipped to Jersey.

MINE WAS ABOUT 1800 THEN THE VIEL WAS LIKE 400 AND THE TIARA WAS $350 PLUS THE UNDER GARMENTS..IT STILL NEEDS TO BE ALTERED TOO...AND I NEED SHOES...IT ALL ADDS UP...AND QUICK!! =)

Before alterations, my dress is about $1300 w/ tax. It was tagged at $1599 plus tax, but I shopped around and, through some bargaining, got the store to lower the price. The dress is a Demetrios and I got it at Macy's in Manhasset.

my dress with alterations, was aroudn 1000. i cant believe that i lucked out. my mom is paying for my dress. she didnt know the price, but i knew it was the dress b/c she cried when i came out in it and didnt cry for any other dress that i tried on.

My gown came to about $3400 for everything.. I got it at Bridal Reflections in Carle Place. My jaw dropped when I read the tag, but thankfully my mother didn't want to see it and just handed them her card for the deposit. They did work with me though, they are awesome. They threw in my alterations and are doing the french bustle at no extra charge. I got lucky

I think I might be a 2 dress bride. I had my heart set on a Demetrios couture (1000 on netbride, $1700 at Macy's) and then went to the bridal sale at Filene's in Boston and found a current year Amsale for $500. Not sure what I am going to do, but that is what I spent on dresses.

I didn't even know the price when I feel in love with it.

Same here I thought my dress was going to be alot more then it was. We only paid $518 for mine not including tax and alterations.
I coule never imagine spending thousands on a dress for 1 day. We do not have that kind of money!!!!

I don't know what size you are, but if you are average smaple size 8-14...you can get a GREAT deal on a dress. Usually half off. If a dress is discontinued, they sell it at a great discount. SOme dresses are gross, and tried on too much, and I wouldn't recommend that. But some dresses, only made it one season, and were hardly tried on. Most stores have these type dresses in their back stockrooms, so ask about these, if you have a good consultant, she will be more than happy to help you with that.

about $600 at Estelles Dressy Dresses - i love love love my dress!!! and it comes with the bra and crinoline sewn in!!! and it needs on a bustle otherwise it fits me perfectly!!!! I'm so happy!!!
