How much are your invitations? - Long Island Weddings

I haven't started looking at invites yet. My mom wants to take care of them for us so I'm basically letting her pick one out. She has good taste so we're not really worried, but I have NO idea how much they cost!

You should start looking soon. I'm a month after you and the invitation lady said I should order no later than end of November because the vendor gets crazy especially around the holidays.. and I need to send in Feb.

Considering the cost of stamps is going up 3rd week in Jan - I might even want to send them in January!

You still have time though - don't bug. I'm just nuts

I made mine so all I had to do was pay for Vistaprint to print them which was insanely cheap being that they run promo's for $17 for $70 worth of goods.
After postage the whole thing will probably around $3 each.

The thing is i LOVE the invitation lady!!

My invitation is a large square with a fairly wide piece of lace. It's the lace that's putting it over the top..

Mine has lace on them too and they weren't that much.

I'm probably the minority, but I have saved every invitation to every wedding I've ever been to. I know people spend a lot of money and I feel bad throwing it out. For a few close friends or weddings I was in, I turned the invitation into some kind of present for them for either christmas or their anniversary. I know not everyone will do that for mine, but if it's what you want, and you feel like you'll be settling otherwise, you'll make it work.

This. I have every invite and program I've ever gotten. They're so pretty and I think it's just a shame to throw away something that means so much to someone close to me. My mom saves them, too.

Something to keep in mind with the postage- its not just the weight, it's the size, too. Mine were under 2oz but 'oversized' so they were $1.12 each to mail. They also took WEEKS to be delivered, but that's a whole other issue....

I ordered the Invite and RSVP part from Vista print with a groupon, then added an overlay, ribbon, and a tag, made/printed my own enclosures, and then bought nicer envelopes too - which I will hand address. All together with postage it will be around $3 each I sometimes regret not making the whole thing, but then I realize I used coupons, and its done and cheap enough so I'm ok. lol
