How much did you pay for a CD of all proofs from your wedding?

How much did you pay for a CD of all proofs from your wedding?

I was told it was close to $1000 to have a cd of ONLY the pictures that will be in my album, not even all the proofs! Is this ridiculous?

It was not origianally included with our package but I made him put it in the contract. I wanted a CD copy...most places give it to you free. I can't believe they charge you that much...yes that is crazy!

How is the quality? We want something that is good enough quality that we can print 4x6 pictures from.

WOW.. $1000? that's too much.. they're usually free or up to $300!!

He said he could give us a slideshow of proofs for next to nothing. But he said the quality is low and we wouldn't be able to print them out. It would just be for viewing on the computer.

Im paying $1500 for proofs and the CD with the images... but that it my entire package... im not getting any albums... so that price includes his time that he is spending photographing my wedding...

Ours is free as well, but two years after the wedding. If we wanted it earlier, we have to pay. I don't remember what the cost was, but it certainly wasn't $1000. See if they'll let you have it for free after a year or two.

Ours was already included in the package, and it's the highest resolution, so we can even blow it up pretty big and still have excellent quality. $1000 is a lot, especially for just the pictures from the album! It's not that hard for them to burn it onto a CD and blank CDs are so cheap - you can even get 100 for 10 cents. Did you hire this photographer already? If not, you really should get him to include it for free or find another photographer. $1000 is just ridiculous.

Thanks, everyone. We've already hired them and put down $1100 in deposits for both photo and video from them. While I could scan all the proofs and burn to cd, that takes a lot of time, and for the money we're spending, you would think they would include that in our package. Our photo package is close to $4400!!

We get all of our proofs on CD included in our package. It was there originally, but we requested it.

It really depends on the resolution of your files. The higher the resolution, the more $$$ your CD will cost.

the package FH and I signed up for was for the proofs and CD only.

our photographer said we can always add stuff after the wedding - when we have more $

or, we can make our own album.

$1000 for adding a CD to your package is rediculous!!!!!!!!!!

ETA: my photographer said that he takes all the pictures in 8 megapixels because he never knows which picture the bride & groom will want enlarged.

just so you know, even 3.1 megapixels is enough res. to get excellent quality pics. the megapixels being high only matters if you're going to blow up the pics to 11x14 or more.

He included ours in the package. I'd definitely see if he can work this out. To be honest it isn't all that much work for him to copy the proofs onto a CD (if they are online already).

why dont you just take the proofs and scan them yourselves? Do you have a scanner?
it would save u $ if u dont have a scanner itis cheaper for you to buy a scanner for like 100 and do it yourself!

1000 is ridiculous!

We do have a scanner, and we could do it. But it's more the principle of it all. I'm mad that they are charging so much for something that everyone else is gettng for free.

ETA: I'm also angry because of the fact that we have a very expensive package from them, and for what we are paying we should have it included.
