how much did you or are you willing to spend on a dj? did it include any extras like plasmas, extra lighting? also who did you go with?

I haven't booked yet but I think my max is $2,500 which includes plasmas, zapshots, and intelli lights.

I am paying $1650 for a two man dj/mc team and a dinner singer and an extra hour because of viennese. we went with the basic light package and that was free.

We are paying 2K for a 2 man DJ/MC combo, basic lights, cocktail hour pianist, and DJ-run ceremony music (live won't work for us because of the music we want).

$1250 for dj/mc, basic lights, ceremony and cocktail hour music. Go to showcases ladies. I won intelligent lighting at the one I went to!!!

2k - FM entertainment - ceremony music, CH steel drums, 1 man dj/mc, percussionist, and dinner singer
ETA: no lighting for us since we're in the daytime and im just not a fan of the plasmas so that isnt included

I booked high energy we got a discount because we've used him for numerous occasions but his basic package is about 1100 or so.

we used Dance Jock--I think we paid $1200 for a DJ and MC, no special lighting or giveaways, and we added a dinner singer for $700 i believe

what the??! I paid 3750...starlight express...although i absolutely love them and have seen them at a bunch of weddings..did i get ripped off??? i am getting lights and two big screen tvs, photo montages....too late now, i guess!

LOL you are not getting ripped off. I paid around $2500 (I think) for them for just the basic package. They charge more because they use different equipment than most DJ companies. Its more like concert equipment. It gives a clearer sound to your music and their lights are also a lil more high tech. I never would have thought about this, but my DH was an audio major in school and was all about their equipment when we went and met with them. They even brough us to their storage unit to show DH all their stuff. LOL.

all the prices arent varying that much, depending what you are getting. i would like plasmas, a percussionist, maybe some more lighting....possibly a different CH music

$1700 for 2 men DJ/MC, cocktail hour and a half, 4 hour reception, basic lights, percussionist for 4 hour reception, and customized 'name in lights'.
