How much did your dress cost?

I was just curious to know what everyone is paying for their dress...the one I want to order is Eve of Milady, but it's almost $5000!!!! This sounds insane to me. Is anyone else paying that much?

I spent a total of $6500 on the dress, veil, shoes, head piece, and alterations. I bought it all together the first time I went shopping for a wedding dress. It was kleinfelds and they know how to put together everything and make it feel just perfect... that you can't resist.

I was like am I doing the right thing? I just went for it because I did love the dress! I've been back since to try it on for my future mother in law, my best friend, and my grandma... and I still loved it. I was afraid I wouldn't like as much seeing it again but that wasn't the case.

You'll know when you try some dresses on, one will just stand out much more than the others!

I'll agree that it is a ridiculous amount of money to spend on something that is worn for what 12 hours?

Too much! I'm borrowing my sister's headpiece, so I save some money on that, but I need to find other ways to scrounge and save. It was more expensive than I anticipated, but I truly love my dress and think it's worth it.

Just a little word of advice, when you go shopping and they ask for your budget, undershoot it, because I've been to a few places where the first dress the brought out was a few hundred over my said budget.

Mine is a Sally Crew and it is $1500 without alterations.

I think I paid about 1800 including alterations, straps sewn on, bustle, tax and the slip.

Mine is $1090 w/o alterations and tax.

It's by Moonlight Designs (you can see it if you look up my profile) and one of the saleswomen actually thought it was an Eve of Milady dress which the one she was thinking of costs 3x that amount!!

The one I originally wanted was going to cost me $575, but hey, in retrospect, I really love the one I'm getting.

i was ready to spend more, but i found this beautiful gown for $800. It looks like it could easily be worth $3000. I'm soo blessed.
