Flowers?

I met with a planner yesterday (she is free w/my package) and she told me that generally people budget $2000 for flowers....I think my heart stopped for a second. Flowers...they die, I won't have them forever. Just to make a table look pretty?
How much did you spend?

I guess for me there are so many other things I would rather splurge on...

think of doing something different.. i went to my gf's wedding this weekend and she had tall candelabras on each table that she rented... they were on a square mirror with flower petals and 2 votive candles the room looked amazing

i feel the same way ... the flowers are going to die
i am getting married in the fall. i plan on using nice hurricane candles with fall dried wreaths around them.. people can take them home and reuse them as well.. im trying to be as eco friendly as possible

actually what am i crazy....we'll probably spend about 2-3k...i don't know how much flowers cost though so i wouldn't have a clue...i know i want an all rose theme and that can get pricey, right?

I really do love the look of flowers. I went to Burton's and got a great price. You can cut back on the types of flowers although burton's doesn't price that way. You can get any flower same price. But we are going to use flower petals in many places. That can help. Also a low and or smaller CP can cut back $$ also.

woops, just came across my flower contract and i think i actually got everything i wanted with verbena for like 950, not 1200.

I don't mind spending money on centerpieces but I wanted to make sure that it was something that people could use after the wedding. We ended up getting a set of 3 vases (all different heights) from BBB and are having our florist add silk leaves and flloating candles to the vases, using a vine with red and orange berries on it to go up the stems of the vases (or creating a circle around them) and them spreading rose petals and real leaves around the table. She is charging us $20 per table for that and we got the vases for $15.

Here is a picture of the vases with the leaves and candles...my mom and I put it together quickly to get an idea

I'm not sure how much yet, probably 4k or so - my mom is paying and she's obsessed with flowers so we'll see....

I spent a little over 1k. But I didn't get centerpieces. It's just the flowers for the wedding party.

approx. 700... for bm's & gm's, plus coursages & altar arrangements. Our hall provided centerpieces which helped us save.

One hundred and twenty dollars

Seriously though 120$ That was just for 10 Rose centerpieces

It cost me 500 for 7 boutineers, 4 corsages, my bouquet, and 4 bridesmaid bouquets

you have FM and if you want to see some of my flowers go to my Pro pics, there are pics of my table as well and the bridesmaid flowers,etc.

under $1k total. We ordered the BoKs, Bouts, and petals for the tables from Laurie @ LA Blossom. LOVE HER! The CPs were wreaths with candles from BJs (purchased on sale for about $25 the previous christmas.)
