The average we got at our e-party was $100 from people. Others gave us Gift Certificates to either fortunoff or bed bath and beyond or macys. If they are very close, as I see the groom to be is in your wedding party, maybe $150. I definitly think $200 is way too much for an e-party!!

i think 100 is fine especially since they arent best friends - and things seem a bit hostile with the future wife there - anything more than that would be extra generous on your part.

200-250 is way to much i think around 100 would be fine. because you are also going to be giving a gift at the wedding too. 100 is fine.

My FH & I just had our E-party in April. Decent amount of peeps (110) - had it at a hall w/ DJ. The avg amount we rec'd was $100-$150. We have a decent size wedding party too (7 on each side) and they all gave within that range. The adults (aunts, uncles, g-parents) gave closer to $200. We made out VERY well.

WOW, I wish I had all of you at our E-party....JK, You all are extremely generous. We had some couples give $50. Just wanted to say that if you give $100, you should not feel you are being cheap at all!

I think your best bet is to get them a nice present. So they dont know how much you spent if you feel like u didnt spend a lot then dont know.
