How much do you give as a wedding gift?

I'm going to a wedding this sunday without FH because hes working... but i was just wondering because I'm always bad at this, how much do I give as a gift if its a Sunday wedding at the Watermill... any suggestions would be helpful. Once again Thanks Ladies!!!!!!!!

I would give $125-150 maybe alittle more if its family or a close friend.

I agree on this amount - I wouldn't base it on the day, time or place but the people that you're giving the gift to.

How much do you think is appropriate to give if it is not a NY wedding. I am going to a wedding in VA and I was thinking $150 for FH and I. Is this too little?

I think 200 would be a nice gift but go with whatever you are comfortable with. That is ost important!

I think anywhere from $200-300/couple would be sufficient

i was the MOH for my best friend and i think for me and a guest i gave about $500

$150 -$200 for myself $300 for us as a couple.

i gift based on our relationship with the person.

usually a base of 300 for a couple or 200 just for one of us.

usually around 150..but it really depends on who it is..i give more to people im closer to

I start at 200 for FH and myself and work up according to how close the person is to us. If it's an acquaintance of either of us it's at least 200....for close family and friends it's more than that for sure.

I don't give a gift based on the day of week, time of year, or place of wedding.

I tend to give $100pp so if FH is with me the gift is $200. For friends and family I'm closer to I give more like about $150.
