I love my veil more than my dress - it is Vera Wang and it is just $300!

What the....?????? Where did you get that?? I think I'm gonig to cry now. I don't even love my veil. It's alright... very plain. This *****!

I got it the same place I got my dress - at a boutique outside of Philly. Don't feel bad...it all evens out in the end...my dress was $$thousands, so at least I got something cheap!

Good for you! But I do still feel bad... I spent thousands on my dress too.

oh no! oh, well - you'll be the best dressed bride around :) good luck with everything!

I guess I'm an idiot! I paying $1000 for my veil at Kleinfelds. They didn't give me mine for free or custom make it for $200.

I tried it on three weeks ago for the first time since I bought it last year and in retrospect... totally not worth it. If I knew I could buy it elsewhere for cheaper and it be just as nice, I totally would have done that. Oh well, what are you going to do.

Honestly, I was really surprised to hear that Kleinfelds is custom making one for $200. That seems really inexpensive. As for the free one, she got it at a trunk show so maybe that's why.

I was surprised too...but I was not about to argue! I also received an additional percentage off b/c I bought my dress and veil at the same time!!

$280

but it matched my dress so perfectly- and I loved it so much

Same here. Before I bought my dress I said 'I refuse to spend more then $25 on a veil!!' but when I tried it on, I HAD to have it. It's only a few hundred more then I wanted to spend

'No, Mine was free when I bought my dress from Kleinfelds...

Try veilshop.com or ebay.com'

I'm wondering what people paid for their headpieces now? I probably overpaid on that too. And it is really simple.

MINE was free and part of the trunk show sale. If I purchased that day, I got the veil, plus the trunk show discount.

Oh ok. I knew someone out there got theirs from a trunk show!

No, just the foolish bride who bought her dress the first time she went to look anywhere and let them talk her into all the accessories that went with it. I should have looked around a little more. Good luck to you too!!

$1500!!! yikes!!! i think most would agree that that particular price is an exception to the rule concerning veils. wow are you having crystals or something on it?!

Mine also costs this price ($1425) for a cathedral length veil by Eve of Milady (Amalia Carrara) to match my gown exactly. The price is so high because the veil has the same amount of swarovski crystals and czech glass beads as some dresses do on the entire skirt.

At first I just wanted a waltz lenth veil like in my first picture (different veil, different dress shown)... but I figured that the hand-embellished veil will finish the 'dress masterpeice' look. We're putting my veil in our china cabinet under the photo album, tiara, mini gown replica, and wedding coin favor display. (At least that's how I justify it haha).

The veils also are more expensive when they are made of english net, sillk tulle, organza, or chiffon instead of bridal illusion tulle but they are all gorgeous. FM me if you want more info about which materials drape better in pictures and are more or less 'see through'.

Picture 1 = silk veil (NOT my chosen gown)

Picture 2 = my gown skirt which veil will match

Thanks, if you mean me - but that was my original dress from Italy - my new one is very similar though but with a long train and more sparkle. I'd love to see your gown too so FM me if you want!

As for the veils, I am sure that you all have seen this website but if not, it shows GREAT photos of the way that more expensive materials 'drape' in pictures. There are LOTS of options for cutting the costs or making it yourself though if you don't 'need' the others.

I hope this helps! Veils are so romantic.

$60 in Tri-County, but not Barron's. I got my veil from the store in the back of Tri-County.
2 tier fingertip length with swarovski crystals scattered in a floral pattern and along the edging. There was another one I fell in love with, but it was $150 and higher everytime I saw it, and I could not justify spending that much.
