I used Kathy from Follow Your Heart (a vendor here) who charged me $1 per envelope (inner & outer) for computer calligraphy.

i am using computer calligraphy, it's $2 an envelope, because our vendor is matching the font from our invites. FM me for more info - i know it's pricey but we only have about 87 invitations so it's worth it.

Why don't you come over one night and take a look at them in person?

They are absolutely GORGEOUS and I was SQUEALING w/ delight when I opened them. I said to Vinny-- I can't believe this woman does this amount of work, this quality and consistency for the price she charges-- it's INSANE!!!!

She charged me $1.00 per invite (outer) and 25 cents per inner (so $1.25 per set).

She is very inexpensive on placecards too but I am not having them-- but I believe she was only 25 cents for those as well, don't quote me.

Not only was she fantastic but FAST-- five days and bam! She was done! I had them mailed out, done and UPS'd back within a WEEK... Before I knew it they were back and BEAUTIFUL.

I have never gotten so many compliments from people and they think I spent a FORTUNE but I didn't-- I just spent $1.25. It was like $180 all said and done at the end (and that's b/c I have a million and one guests) LOL...

Also, it's only a buck if you don't have inner envelopes-- I do so that's why it was $1.25 ... It's all a matter of preference... Computer is nice too but I know girls that spent the same or more on computer (they wanted hand but thought they could not afford it) and ended up spending the same or more as I did

It's up to you-- I'm home tonight from 8pm on if you wanna drop by and take a look-- there will be wine in it for ya



ETA: if you are going to use her-- MOVE FAST!!! She is booked already for weddings that are taking place at the end of September and she has a waiting list for next year b/c she will not be opening 08 up until like Novemberish I believe. I got the LAST available week-- just in the nick of time. She doesn't over book to make sure the quality stays.

i used reaves engraving..i believe altogether it was .75 cents for outter envelopes and an additional .25 cents for using my own envelopes

they're based in north carolina and their turn around time is awesome..they use an actual pen that is hooked up to a machine...its really cool

btw-- we went to the OTHER apelboy's last night (in lake grove) not the commack one and 'chinese fire drill' was our waiter-- he got transferred and it's like no matter what we do we cannot escape him

my client does this as a side job. so she is charginf me for oth inner and outer envelopes 50 bucks for everything. but thats because i know her.

I used inkspun.com for computer calligraphy. I think it came out to $0.63 per invite (outer and inner envelope) I love the way my invites came out! They matched the preprinted address font perfectly! and very fast turn around time!

I used Melanie from A Fine Letter (www.geocities.com/afineletter/) for hand calligraphy. Inside and outside envelopes. Her pricing and time frames are on her Web site. We were very happy with her work and responsiveness.

Thanks so much ladies -

I contacted a woman in Smithtown (we're practically neighbors)- she has average prices $1.50 a set.... and a woman in Jersey- the Jersey woman is soooo cheap (1.00 per set assembled with tissue and inserts, 80 cents per set if I just want the envelopes done), but then I'd have to pay shipping.

The woman in NJ is all booked up for this year, and would be fitting me into her only cancellation.

I'm just waiting for sample packets, and I'll be making a decision!

For all you girls on Abx who don't know wine is not a graet idea: Use condoms....BECAUSE your oral BC pills are less active.

Computer calligraphy 1.50 an envelope and I think it was fifty cents more for inside envelopes at Invitations and Beyond. They came out beautiful.

I was charged $1 for 2 envelopes (50 cents an envelope). It was computer - but she matched the font exactly to my invite font. I went through LA Productions for my invites and she sends them to the calligrapher.

I am dropping my envelopes off with Wendy Trout tomorrow so I can let you know when I get them back how they come out. I think she is $1.50 for the set, but I am only having an outer which I think is $1.25.

50 cents for inner and outter...that was from my a lady in GA my sister used. I eneded up having Diana (pippys sweets) print them just bc she did it as a free be!

My Dad, his wife & I have decided to have some family bonding and do them ourselvs. We all do calligraphy but it's been a while so we'll see how it comes out (I ordered extra just in case) We have 130 to do!!!
