How much for hair & make-up trials?

I was wondering how much you should pay for hair and/or make-up trials? Some places I have seen offer free trials for both, others charge as much as a standard haircut, and others are just seem WAY TOO expensive. What is the normal price (if any) for hair and make-up trials? And what about on the day of the wedding itself? I have 5 bridesmaids who will also need their hair and make-up done. I have no idea what to expect, so I need someone else's expertise! HELP!

Has anyone used Maximus in the Source Mall? I was thinking about using them, but they are a little more than I wanted to spend. If it's worth it, I would try them, but I need advice!
