HOW MUCH IS EVERYONE....

Original post by Renee615

paying for their invitations? This is my next task to tackle. FH and I have picked ones that we like, but I'm worried that we are spending way too much on them. It's coming out to almost $700 for 100 invites. Am I crazy? How much is everyone else's coming to?

Re: HOW MUCH IS EVERYONE....

Invitations was probably the most stressful part for me.
I really wanted something personal...whether it be my colors or our names/monogram....but I didnt want to spend more then $250 (75 invites). I even considered doing them myself but could find paper I likes, etc.
I finally gave up and settled for a regular invite but I do love them...I paid $216 (I think) for 75 invites, repsonse cards, liners and return address....

It's going to be about $225 for 50 invites. Not that cheap in the end, but I really wanted the pocketfolds. I wanted something that would stand out. And I don't want to DIY them, I want them to be perfect, and I know me, they won't be perfect.

Mine were 450. I got pocketfolds and I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE them! I also paid about 60 for the calligraphy and she did an amazing job!

ETA.. I prolly could have saved a boatload if I had gone DIY - but with 2 kids and a full time job that was NEVER going to happen!

Mine were approx $2500 for about 120 invites....and approx $400 for caligraphy, and this doesn't include the stamps, which were about $200

Mine were about $138 for 75 Pocketfolds. I decided to DIY them because otherwise I could not justify paying a lot for them to be thrown away.

I DYI'd mine.

Invitations, envelopes, reply cards, envelopes... $100

Velum & cutting... $50

Other accessories... $50

They came out great but for the money, maybe I could have paid to have them done somewhere else.

Mine were $1550 for 175 invites and RSVP cards, but they also have a jacket and are made of linen paper and they came out gorgeous. We didn't want to spend that much, but I fell in love with them. They are by Encore. We were quoted over 2500 for the same thing, but got them through jbink.com and she gave us a 25% discount.

Thats exactly what mine came to. So I would say you are on track BUT there are alot less expensive invites out there if this is higher then you budgeted for.
