FH and I are a little puzzled by the fee we are being asked for holding our ceremony at our local church. on top of that we have to write a 250 check they will be holding and cashing should we be running late that day..... I guess my question to you is how much are you paying for your officiant and having the ceremony at your church?

$500 for 'donation', $135 cantor, $125 organist..plus another $100 for pre-cana and tipping for alter boys...

$400 for church, we have it in a pamphlet from the church that the singer and the organist is $90 each total of $180 however FH just got of the phone with priest that told him $125 each for the organist and singer total $250, this doesnt make me happy how do you disagree with a church but we have 6days left and every penny counts.

$500 is our fee and this includes a retainer for the organist.

i think everything comes to $720. Get a receipt though girls you can write it off on your taxes as a donation to the church!

I'm still not 100% sure what the cost is (I need to call the priest) but my brother/SIL had get pamphlet from when they were married there and it says $475. I'm going under the assumption that the price has increased over the years and saying $600 just t be safe.
