FH and I are a little puzzled by the fee we are being asked for holding our ceremony at our local church. on top of that we have to write a 250 check they will be holding and cashing should we be running late that day..... I guess my question to you is how much are you paying for your officiant and having the ceremony at your church?

My church said they will be expecting a 'donation' of $750.00 or more. But we don't know if we r even gonna be using the church (both catholic but not religious at all)

$450 for church, additional $50 for rehearsal and $200 ( ) for precana... which I think is ridiculous, but whatever. What happened to 'you shouldn't have to pay for a sacrement'?

$500 for the church and another $300 for the music plus another $150 for trumpeters.
you can tip the alter servers if you'd like (we are getting married in a Catholic Church) but we're not going to. they can take it out of the 'donation' money we are giving them

ours is $250 for the church ... $250 for the music. we are asked to top the alter boys. we are also paying someone else to do our service but am not certain of what that donation would be. pre-cana was $75 for the 7 weeks and then $50 for foccus. if we did the weekend option it was over $325 so we decided against it!
grand total: approx $850

ours is $700. and they ask for a $300 check just in case we are late. but im going to try and NOT give them that 'in case your 15 minutes late' check... so stupid. precana was another $195. and if we want any music, other then the singer/organist they provide, we have to pay for that. then we have to tip everyone as well.
