Oh, ok...we have the same car and we lease with no $$ down and are paying a lot less a month. I was thinking, whoaaaaaaaa, we got an awesome deal! LOL

wow..that's insane...no, the convertib;e wasn't out yet! and to get a retrofitted convertible at that time was $40K!
i think my car was about $23K Plus another couple thou for warranty and lojack and stuff
It must have been a really high interest rate...my dad took out the loan and his credit isn't great. Plus this was in may 2000, so it was before the rates dropped
I used to work for Vw....I was there in 98 and some of 99....They must of got you at a really high APR or did you finance the lojack and all the other options that you put into the car?

I worked at Koeppel VW in woodside.
I fiannced all of the extras..all we out down was the $5K

640 I have an 04 infiniti fx45 and FH is 600 for a 05 EXT Escalade, thats just the payments for the cars NOT including insurance and we also have a 03 camaro that is 350 a month.

Thats why...you have a high payment...You financed all the extras. What else did you get other than lojack? Didnt the dealer give you a discount for buying a car from them since you worked there?

when I signed the contract I didn't work there, but when i took delivery i did (It was an 'internet only' car, so it wasn't stock)...so i got a discount on my extended warranty, etc.

Isn't the GX just the best car? I know it's a lot of money (well, for US it is!) but it's totally worth it. It so does not drive like a truck!

I absolutely LOVE it!! I was really nervous when we first got it b/c I was not used to driving a truck, but you totally forget you are driving an SUV!

And thena fter I worked there, they were trying to seel my dad a reflex yellow (those things did NOT sell) for like $15K
ETA: I'm one of those people whp is obsessed with my car..i no longer have the photo, but for awhile the background on my computer was a pic of a vapor bettel and I had photoshopped the words 'everyone has a first love' onto it.
