Long Island isnt necessarily cheaper than NYC, I am paying $250 pp plus tax and grat and then all of my other vendors...Go to a place you love, if you can afford it, more power to you

WOW..I didnt know the Atlantica was that expensive..especially the month your getting married. I know many people who got married there in the summer on a Saturday night for less....I guess the price sky rocketed since July 2005....

ETA: 250..is that with or without gratuity.....
BTW: Atlantica puts on a great wedding

That is without..The base price for our saturday night wedding is $205, and we are adding on a few things which brought the price up. They dont do weddings in the summer on Saturday nights due to an obligation with the hotel, so September and October are busy months for them

We getting married a Chateau Briand and paying $92.00 PP which includes tax and gratutity for 150 guarenteed guest. I estimate that our entire wedding will cost under $30,000.

Manhattan and outside Manhattan are significantly different. I haven't booked yet but I've been doing my homework.

Manhattan venues are $150-$300 pp (before tax and gratuity)

Long Island, NJ, Westchester venues are $75-$150 pp (before tax and gratuity)

Your $300 pp AFTER tax and gratuity for Manhattan is very normal. All my friends who got married in Manhattan paid $300+pp after tax and gratuity.

Remember, starting in January of '06 prices of pretty much of all venues will go up...an '07 wedding is soooo much more expensive than an '06 wedding.

With EVERYTHING (venue, dress, HM, favors, all the little extras) we were around the $35k mark.

OMG. I have no idea. I'm just booking stuff. Nobody ever gave me a budget, I'm going to be in deep doo doo one of these days. I'm kinda in a budget denial since my parents and his parents are paying. I'm just splitting the cost.

I'm having a 100 pp give or take a few. I'm having my reception in a church which will cost me $800 plus $3000 for a buffet. So thats like $38 per person. Wait staff included.

in NYC i head these places are nice:
The Puck Building
Tribrca Rooftop
Loft Eleven

but i'm budgeting my LI wedding @ 35-40k for a sunday nite on 05/06/07 for 200 min gurantee....but i'm sure my budget will be over!

I had a friday night wedding in Nov--
5 hours total
$93 a person (included seafood boat in cocktail hour) plus tax & gratuties. I know that the next night would have been about $107 a person plus tax & gratutity but we didn't know if we could meet the minimum.
That was at the watermill in smithtown.

i'm getting married in the daytime, sunday, february....and we're paying $73 per person, (with tax & grat)

our total wedding cost will wind up being about $20K
