How much is your wedding going to cost?

I'm getting married on a saturday in September at The Douglaston Manor. The cost is $80pp with tax and gratuity included. The overall cost for the wedding is going to cost just under $20,000.

That may seem inexpensive to some, but for me....

money is tight!!!

We did the whole thing for under $15K for around 80 people on a Saturday night (not inc. honeymoon).

We booked late, and so we got some deals (which is why I dont' like to quote specific prices for specific vendors). Also, we didn't do limos b/c we got married at the hall, and the flowers were from the hall. We did our invites ourselves.

too freaking much...but we are chosing to spend on specific things that are really important to us and save on those that aren't.

In the end I think its worth it.

thanks for the help. we are trying to have it in a loft which requires a site fee from 5000 - 15000. Caterers are an additional 175 (for chairs, liquor and staff).

I might have to start considering other options :(


You could get married @ Oheka Castle for that much and it's MUCH bigger and is so beautiful.

My wedding is $89 pp, which is on the lower side. I'm having 160 people and the place is small, so it will be nice.

You would get a lot more for your money in Long Island.

About $25,000. Did a Sunday day to keep cost and minimum down while still getting June which was important to me.

I think we spent about $55,000 for a Sat. night at the Crescent. That doesn't include my dress, accessories, rings or HM.

I am getting married the saturday night before easter (did not know that when I picked the date) and we are paying 70 PP for a place in Long island on the lake. Beautiful !!!

I don't know if anyone suggested this (can't read the whole thread) but Pier 60 or Chelsea piers is about 110 a head from what I saw and it's really pretty. For less than that I'd rec the Brooklyn Botabic Gardens- it's my fave but not as polished as halls. Jamie Lynn DiScala had her wedding there. Top end is 150 a plate without tax and tip and they are the ONLY Zagat rated caterer....Keep looking!

thanks...i should but i et sick everytimme i have to make a deposit..i feel liike im putting htem out but then they say to me...its one day who cares do what you want...but i still try to get the best deals with EVERYTHING..the only thing i didn't care about was my dress which im paying for...thats the least i can do!

We are paying $90 a head, guarnteeing at least 100 in February on a Saturday night at Giorgio's.

I couldn't believe that the price almost doubled for the next weekend! There is no difference between February 25th and March 4th!

I'm getting married the following October at Land's End. Hopefully after your wedding, you'll post a review with pictures.

Deinitely curious to know how cool it gets on the water that time of year.

Land's End--on the water--Sunday night in October-- $125/pp + tax and gratuity (works out to $153/pp)

Total cost with 260 people and all the goodies (photographer, florist, dress, etc.... etc.... etc...) = $78,000

OUT OF CONTROOOOOLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!

but, going to be beautiful when all is said and done.
