How much of a secret...

are you keeping your wedding day 'look' from FH?

FH definitely won't be seeing my dress or veil before the big day, but what about hair, headpiece, make-up, etc?

We are going down to LI for my hair/make-up trial in a couple of weeks and we have a bunch of other stuff to do that day (after the trial), like see the florist, etc. I'm thinking I'll just keep my hair/make-up done and let FH see since it seems like a waste to take it all off just to keep it a secret from him. The main thing for me is keeping the dress and veil a secret.

Just curious to find out everyone else's take on this....

he knows about the pearls(they were his grandmother;s), he saw my earrings. but everything else is a secret

I want it all to be a secret, but we live together, so its hard. I may to to have mt Bachelette party and trial on the same day

I have zero ability to keep things I buy/do a secret...but so far he hasn't seen my dress, veil, headpiece or shoes!

I did show him my jewelry, which I had custom made. And, I went for one hair trial and he did see the result of that, but really had no idea what it was for.

The hardest so far has been my dress. I really really want to show it to him, and get his opinion on it, but he refuses to even entertain that idea :o)

He has seen my tiara bc I needed his opinion. He will most likely see my hair since he'll have to go with me to LI to get it done. And I've been asking him his opinion on different hairstyles (and driving him nuts too) Will not see makeup.

I guess I'm a bad girl because he has seen my shoes, earrings, and had to help me decide on my hair. I guess I'll keep everything else a secret from this point on. It is so hard because we live together and I can't keep anything from him.

Same here! He's seen pretty much everything... its not like i was going to wash my hair trial out as soon as she did it so that he didnt see it when i got home... Plus, with things like that, i need his opinion.

Also, w/ the dress... all i did was say 'oh yeha, i got a strapless dress, simple elegant, and has a scattered bead design... i get home, and he goes to the computer and goes 'is this one it'... It was!! ok, how many dresses are out there, and he found the exact one! he hasnt seen pics of me in it yet though- that part is the secret.

whew... only 3 more weeks.. i seriously cannot keep anything from him, so i cant wait to NOT have to hold it back anymore!

I've actually shared everything with him so far - pictures of my hankie, veil and even my dress!! :lol; I feel that as long as he doesn't see me in it all before I walk towards him down the aisle, then I'll be ok cause seeing a pic is much different then seeing me in it

I would show FH, but he doesn't want to see it! He doesn't even want to see my shoes!

Good thing too, because he has told me that he hates 'that old looking material' You mean lace?, I ask. 'YES'...well, FH my dress is ALL LACE. Surprise! He says he likes the 'normal' wedding fabric more, 'you know, the shiny one'. Satin? I ask. 'Yes'. Well, my dream dress is lace, not satin - so there you go Mr.!

I dont want him to see ANYTHING but I love showing him stuff so it will be a conflict but I'm going to try my hardest not to let him see a thing until the big day!!!
