How much time....

I was thinking the SAME thing. Maybe have them all come together and leave the pics with Mom until the end and miss a few minutes of the CH?

My guests are going to have aboutand hour and a half to kill inbetween the church and the CH. I was concerned then my parents reminded me this is the way it always was before people had ceremonies at the RH.

I am assuming guests will check into hotels, and other family members will go have a drink somewhere....

The idea of having them at your parents house is nice although I wouldn't offer them a LOT of food you want them to enjoy the CH and dinner which you are paying a hefty price for...

I would invitemy family back but I live about an hour away from RH...

my church is ending at 4 and we will realistically get out of there around.. 4:30/4:35. My reception is also about 25 min away starting at 7/7:30 (still can't decide)

i would ask BM if cocktial could be opened up like 15-30 min before for early arrivers.

thanks, yeah they said even up to an hour before the guests would be welcomed in and offered drinks and then 15 before the offical start time they would start the food. So that is also a good thing but I dont want to have 100 people there an hour early! are you worried about what your guests will do in between?? some people are saying dont worry about them, they will figure out what to do!

i only have a hand few of people coming from out of town. Most people live in RVC which is right in between VS and bethpage so they'll proabably go home and change. My mom will probably have my fam over the house too.

As for FH's fam.. thats his mom's problem lol.

Question:
just popped into my head... how is my mom gonna have people over our house if she is needed for some of the pics??


my parents will be with us for pictures too but we were thinking having either my aunt or a neighbor stay at our house as the hostess for that time period. They can help with the food and show people around the house ect. so maybe something like that will work for you!

my mom just gave my aunt the house keys and told everyone to go back to my mom's house after my brother's wedding...eventhough it was only for like 20 minutes

my church starts at 5:15, so I'll be out of church by 6:15, completely gone by 6:45. it's a full Mass, but I'm hoping they priest can speed up the homily. CH starts at 8, and the RH is about 20 min from church. I figure my guests will prob have 30 min to kill, so I'm sending them back to my mom's house with my aunt to play hostess.
