Your ceremony and CH for pics and travel, and are you going to your CH? AND, if there is a big gap, are you providing refreshments for your guests at the ceremony site, the hall, or whatever? (if there's already a post about this can someone please bump it? thanks!)

Re: How much time are you having between
Our ceremony is at 4 & the CH starts at 7. By the time we get out of church, it will 5, so we are going straight from the church to take pictures...
I don't plan on too many people besides immediate family to be at our church considering it is at 4PM on a friday...I am not providing any refreshments for my guests until they arrive at the hall
I do not plan on attending my CH but FH is...I want to relax so I am ready to dance

Re: How much time are you having between
Our ceremony starts at 2:00 in Staten Island. Since we are having a half mass, We should be done with the ceremony & church by 3:00. Our cocktail hour (Leonards) starts at 6:00pm, so that leaves 3 hours.
Add in the travel time on the Belt Parkway and that cuts my picture taking time down significantly.

Re: How much time are you having between
my ceremony starts at 6pm, ends at 7pm. CH starts at 8:30pm. we're not stopping anywhere to take pics. the Church and hall have beautiful spots for photos. and we're not attending the CH. i want to make our grand entrance as husband and wife at the actual reception. on the bridal party will attend CH.
i'm at JT and they are serving my guests champagne and strawberries upon arrival.

Re: How much time are you having between
My ceremony starts at 2:30 p.m. in East Meadow and my CH is starting at 6:30pm. We are planning to attend half of the cocktail hour.
We are not having a mass so we are estimating about 45 min for the ceremony and 15 minutes for the thank you's We are hoping to take about 1/2 hour of pic's at the church. Leaving at 4 p.m. to go to Westbury Manor to take pic's. If we get to Larkfield around 5:30 pm or so we can still take about an 45 minutes worth of pic's. We want to take the big family photo's there. Eat in the bridal suite and hopefully make it to cocktail hour a little after 7pm.
Of course nothing ever works out as planned but at least we have 4 hours to do everything!

Wow girls! thanks! So it looks like a majority of you are having at least 3 hrs between ceremony and CH! That makes me feel soooo much better! Now I can really plan that part of our day!

Yea, us too. Our church is at 3 (full mass), then pictures & our cocktail hour is at 730, which we plan on attending. FIL's may provide some refreshments back at their house, but not definite.

Re: How much time are you having between
Ceremony is at 3, should be done by 4 or 4:30. Then we'll do a few pics at the church and head to the reception, which is a 20 minute drive. Hopefully we'll have 45 minutes to do pictures before the rest of the guests arrive at the reception at 6pm.
For the guests, there will be about 1 hour (excluding travel time) between ceremony and CH.
We would like to be at most of our CH.
I hate leaving the 1-2 hour window there, but I don't know what else to do.

Re: How much time are you having between
church at 5:00 - CH at 7:00 - We're only doing a ceremony and the pastor said 20-30 minutes. The Carltun is only 15 min away.
We do not have a big family and aren't going anywhere to take pics other than the church or the carltun.
I'm hoping we gave ourselves enough time...

Ceremony time is 3:00-3:30 PM. CH start time is 7 PM. One hour drive from ceremony to reception. We plan on taking pics from 4:00-5:30 at ceremony location. There will be some light refreshments for the guests following the ceremony.
