How Much Time Did You Take...

Off from work before/during/after your wedding?

ie: I plan on taking off two days before the wedding and then two weeks for the HM.

I was planning on taking 3 days before the wedding, the day of the wedding (wedding was on a Friday) and then 8 work days for the honeymoon.
I ended up getting laid off a week before the wedding, so I had 5 extra days before the wedding.

I think I did the same thing ... wait, I took three days because my mom arrived on Wednesday & I picked her up from the airport.

My wedding is next Sunday and I am working straight up to friday. May leave early but most likely I wont. After the wedding I wont be coming back for 10 days or so. Its hard for me because I am the only one who can do my job, so I am going to need to be here the days before my wedding so I can bust my A$$ and get all my work done and ahead so nothing unexpected comes up.

I am taking off Thurs and Fri before (wedding is on Sunday) then taking the entire week following off. Friends from out of state want a tour of LI and NYC, so I certainly can't let them do it alone!

My weding is on 5/27/05. My last day at work is 5/20/05...taking the whole week of the wedding off, the whole week after that off and come back to work 6/8/05.

I used up all my vacation days and some personal days, but it's worth it!

ETA: Didn't say how much time that is. It is: 12 work days, 18 calendar days.

I took off the Friday before (the wedding was on a Sunday) and then two weeks for my honeymoon and then came back the Tuesday after 4th of July weekend. Got an extra day because of July 4th.

1 week before and 9 weeks after. My company has an awesome benefit that you receive after working here for 7 years. It's called a sabbattical and they give you 6 weeks paid time off and you can use 4 weeks vacation for a total of 10 weeks.

I am going to use the time to HM, to settle us all (FH and his kids) in our new place and to travel with my mom.

I took the week before & the week after off. My wedding was on a Saturday.

you (we) only needed a day (if saturday) if everything is working on time

We were runnign behind else we would of worked up to friday cause our wedding was on sunday.

save your days off for HM or other free time during the year.

My sister is coming from florida a week before my wedding so Im taking half days from work on monday, tuesday, and wednesday so I can hang with her. I'll probably take thursday and friday off.

I personally need it because I have family coming in from out of town and the RD is on a Tuesday, plus my wedding's on Friday...so there was no way I was working that week.

i have two weeks oof after the bar exam to finish everything - and there will be lots to do because i am doing anything the month of july

I had a Saturday wedding and planned on taking Thursday and Friday off. I was so anxious on Wednesday that I wound up leaving work and taking a half day. Then I took two weeks and one day off for the HM.

I'm getting married on a Friday night during finals week for my undergrad summer quarter. So I will work that Mon -Thurs during the day, attend classes Mon-Thurs at night; take Friday off and the week after the wedding for the HM. The Fall quarter will start the Monday after I return from Bermuda.
Whew!!!!
