How much time dress shopping?

Hi girls,

Congrats to all of you getting married! I got married back in Sept 2010 but right now am helping my sister plan her wedding. She wants to go dress shopping soon and asked me to make appointments at places. She lives out of town so we have to look only on a Saturday and Sunday. I want to book more then one place a day but cannot remember from my wedding how much time to allow when looking at dresses. Should I make the appointments 3 hours apart or is that too far?

How much time dress shopping?

Every place varied. When making appointments, ask how long the appointment is and maybe add on about 15 extra minutes and then travel time.

i was at each place an hour or 1 1/2 hours. we scheduled further apart and when we had time, we had lunch or squeezed in another nearby shop for a few dresses. plus travel time

How much time dress shopping?

I spaced mine at two hours. Stores usually give you an hour to an hour and a half to try on and then I added the half hour for travel.

The first appointment took awhile since I wanted to try on all different styles to see which looked best on me.
