I do it maybe twice in the summer and then go darker for the fall/winter.

This. but I screwed up the schedule leading up to the wedding so now it will be more than 4 months when I get them again a couple of weeks before the wedding - looking scary

Probably only once a year cause then I get tired of it and go to solid colors

like every 6 months, but i have curly hair so roots don't show as much. also, i kinda like the way roots look.

me too, even though i go every 3 months roots just work better on curly hair. its basically the only advantage us curly haired girls have
