im the same. .. very rarely does she call my cell or I call her, and she calls FH on his cell. We do try to visit her like once or twice a month so I see her. And I do email her to see what she is doing.

I speak with her a few times a week.. she's great! So helpful and loving.. but not overbearing at all. I actually speak with her sometimes more than FH bc she knows she can always get in touch with me.

My FMIL doesn't really do the email thing so I will talk to her when we go over there or whenever she calls the house.. We usually do dinner at their house on Sundays and she will call once or twice during the week.. If I answer I will talk to her. If I don't answer she will tell FH to tell me hi and vice versa..

I speak to my FMIL about once or twice a week. I call her every now and then to say hi and to tell her about the wedding planning. She likes to be involved since FH sister lives in GA and really wasnt involved in her wedding. We also email each other every now and then.

we talk.. but not on a regular basis.. we will email each other if we have questions about something... but i dont really call her.. we do go over their for dinner every sunday.. so i talk to her then

i know im lucky cause i have a wonderful fmil..i talk 2 her often and i could not ask for a better relationship

WE used to be cool in the beginning now i dont talk to her at all cause she fake as hell!

I definitely don't call my FMIL to chat as I would my Mom. However she and I talk quite frequently. The family has dinner together at least once a week. She and I can talk about anything.

I love my FMIL!! I talk to her probably twice a week on the phone. She's so nice and sweet. I'm so thankful for her as well, because my ex (we dated for 8 years) had a PSYCHO terrible mom and I never wanted her as my FMIL!!! LOL!

We get a long but I never reallytalk to her on the phone....

We are close....not as close as my mom and I were but we dont go more than 2 weeks without talking or emailing

I'm kinda the same way with my FMIL, she calls FHs cell and we speak when we go to visit. When I was planning a surprise party for FH we spoke almost every day. Its not like things aren't weird between us though, we just have busy lives I guess.

Well she is our next door neighbor.

I talk to her almost every day, I dont pick up the phone and call her though.

FH and my Mom talk on the phone regularly, they call each other to say Hi! Weirdos

A zillion times a day. We text a lot and since wedding planning started, almost daily because I am always having to get her help. Before wedding, a couple of times a week. We are close though. I have known her since I was 16 so she is like a second mother. (But she can also drive me as crazy as my own mother drives me! :) )

My FH loves his mother dearly so i try to be close to her too, she is great but i never went out of my way to talk to her before the wedding plans started. I call her to give her updates so she feels involved and I will invite her to see the dress when I finally pick one out!

Never ever ever-only when we see her on the holidays. She is one strange women. She never said congrats on our engagement and she showed up at our engagement party, got drunk and didn't give us a gift. I wish I had a great FMIL especially because I am not close with my mom. But I can't make he into someone she is not.
