WOW! That's soooo weird because I think about this sooo often. FMIL and I get along just fine but we NEVER talk unless she calls to speak to FH and I answer the phone or unless we go home to visit. I really wish we were closer but I never just pick up the phone and call her because I almost feel we don't have much to talk about. I'd love to have a relationship with her where I talk to her like I would my own mother but sometimes it doesn't feel like that will ever happen. She talks to her other DIL a lot and I hope we can get to that point!

i speak to my FMIL almost every day. either via email, phone or seeing her in person (we live close to each other).
She is like my second mom. Im very lucky to have her in my life.

FMIL talk ALL the time... i have an amazing relationship with her. i've spent a lot of time with her. we visit alot, she lives a town away, we talk on the phone a lot, and i've done a lot of things with FH's family without FH so i am REALLY comfortable with his family. I LOVE THEM. when we got engaged, i didn't cry, but when FBIL got on the phone and started telling me how much he loves me i started to tear up. i have a very unique relationship with FMIL and i love her!!!

i use to be really close to FMIL but back in feb. there was this whole big thing over our wedding and his sis being prego where she basically told him that if we don't move the wedding that she's not coming. me and him almost broke up over it but in the end we moved the wedding cause to me she's not worth loosing him over. so now i'm not close to her since she decided to make the wedding all about her daughter. my view on in laws is keeping them at arms lenght. we're civil and talk on the phone maybe once every 2 weeks. other than that i let him deal with his fam and i deal with mine.

i talk to my FMIl everyday !! I love her we are so close!!! I dont know what I would do without her!!

very often. We have a great relationship. In fact we are going shopping 2 night!

I don't call my FMIL but we email pretty often updating each other on stuff, etc. His whole family has been so great to me. I consider his sister among my closest friends. I am blessed.

I speak to her all the time. I lost my mother when I was young so she is great with me. I love her.

i speak to myFMIL if she calls the house and i answer. whenever fh is on the phone with her she tells him to say hi but we don't call eachother. She's a great lady but i can't see myself calling her 'mom'. so weird!

I have a weird situation...my mom lives in Buffalo and we're not that close at all...lots of past issues. Fh and I have been together for almost 6 years and I moved to LI 3 years ago. FMIL is practically my mom!! We're staying with them at the moment because our house is being totally renovated and we chat every single day. Even when we weren't living with them, I spoke with her everyday. We're super close and she's been my saving grace in this whole wedding thing. My mom hasn't really been involved and FMIL has been there with me every step of the way...quite frankly, I don't know what I would do without her!! She has 4 boys and is quite the girly girl, so I think she enjoys having me around!! We're very alike so I think that definitely helps...probably one of the reasons why Fh chose me!! haha!!

um i talk to his parents more than my own - i dont really talk to my parents that much - a few times a month on the phone (they dont live here) but we dont talk everday or anything like that....thats just the kind of relationship we have.....my FILS on the other hand talk to their kids like 10 times a day - ok im exaggerating but at least everyday - but we also live downstairs from them so that is why - but his sister and FMIL talk everyday - i think its weird but i grew up different - i tease FH and tell him his family is brady bunch i think when we move to florida we will only talk to FILS as often as i talk to my parents now - they might try to call a lot in the beginning but over time it gets less - thats how it was when my parents moved....but to answer the exact question, speak to FMIL almost everday.....maybe every other day....

Twice a week...she's so sweet...always checking up on me to see how I'm doing. She works a few blocks from me so sometimes we do lunch and FH's family doesn't live too far from my job so I can always stop by or just crash if I'm staying late in the city. Love his family

I wish she used email cause then I would communicate with her more. I feel bad i want to be close to her but we don't have alot in common and i am super busy and live far... I need to fix this. Maybe I will call her tonight.

Some times on the phone but more though email....but just BS stuff and I send her pictures.

i always wanted that but my flmil is not thay type of women.. I can call n talk to my ffil but my fmil is always at work or to busy and shes not a gossip like i am.... O well.
