How old are you parents?

After reading that thread about having babies, I saw that some people worry about their age. I thought, 'I wonder how old their parents are?' I am always interested to see if people with younger parents are the ones that want to be a younger parent and vice versa.

My parents are divorced, so here it is with my step-family too:

Mom: Turned 50 2 months ago
Step-Dad: 52

Dad: 49
Step-Mom 47

So, to me....they are young and were 23 when they had me. In my eyes, they were active, energetic and fun because they were young (NOT that parents who are older are any less of these things....just my personal experience). I have always wanted kids young and at this point, I'm passed the age I wanted to start so I'm ready when he is!!! But, I'm madly in love and know that God's plan was for me to wait around to meet my FH because he's the one for me!

I fit into the 'I want kids young because I watched my parents do it and like the idea' .......does this work for you?

I think I may have the youngest parents on the board (besides yelly whos dad is 40...)

My mom is 45.
My Dad (he's actually my step-dad but he's the only dad I have so he's just 'dad') is 43.

I am the oldest of six children at 25 years old. My mom was 19 when she had me. My father was 20 when he had his first child (my step-sister) who is now 23. Then they got married and they had four more children together.

So....I'm 25, then 23 y/o sister, 18 y/o brother, 16 y/o brother, 13 y/o sister and 11 y/o brother.

My mom still looks like she's 30 and gets mistaken for my older sister all the time. I always thought I wanted to have children young at around 25 and now that I am 25 I'm still not done being selfish and what not (hey, I'm being honest) so I'm waiting until I'm ready (or FH is ready). Plus since I am the oldest of six I've had to watch children all my life. I still go there when my parents go on vacation to be mom while they are away and I've been doing that since I moved out at 19 so I'm in no real rush to have kids.

When I have kids, I'll be damn ready for them!!!!! Taking care of four kids is hard...but at least I have practice because then one will be like cake!

Mom is 52, Dad is 51
I'm 26, and the oldest of four.

My parents like to say that they started young so they could lose their minds early, lol.

ETA: I'll be 27 at my wedding. At the same age, my parents had been married for three years and had two kids!

I feel that when I was like 10 years old, and my grandmother was in her early 60's, that that seemed REALLY young. I look back now and can't believe that that was 20 years ago, and here she is celebrating her 80th year this year, and she STILL seems young lol

However, when I was younger than 10, anyone over 30 seemed 'old' lol Did you do this too? Now that I'm getting older, 30 seems like the new 20, 40 the new 30 etc...

I will be 24 in Sept

My mom will be 48 in Aug
My dad turned 49 in May

My mom had me at 24 she was young

I am a young mom had my first at 19 and my second will be either 23 or 24 depending on the day he comes.

my parents are both over 65
I believe my mom is 65 and my dad is 70 but i could be off a year on both of them, i get confused easily.

I'm 24... so i had older parents growing up.

Our parents are similar in age, mine are actually a little older. I'm #6 of 7 kids ranging in age from 43 down to 26.
