How old are you parents?

How old are you parents?

After reading that thread about having babies, I saw that some people worry about their age. I thought, 'I wonder how old their parents are?' I am always interested to see if people with younger parents are the ones that want to be a younger parent and vice versa.

My parents are divorced, so here it is with my step-family too:

Mom: Turned 50 2 months ago
Step-Dad: 52

Dad: 49
Step-Mom 47

So, to me....they are young and were 23 when they had me. In my eyes, they were active, energetic and fun because they were young (NOT that parents who are older are any less of these things....just my personal experience). I have always wanted kids young and at this point, I'm passed the age I wanted to start so I'm ready when he is!!! But, I'm madly in love and know that God's plan was for me to wait around to meet my FH because he's the one for me!

I fit into the 'I want kids young because I watched my parents do it and like the idea' .......does this work for you?

My mom and dad are both 52.

Im 23.

So I guess my mom was 29 when she had me.....

Mom- 48 - 24 when she had me, almost 25
Dad - 55 - 31 when he had me

my dad is almost 66 and my mom is almost 59
I really didnt know they were old until i was in HS - they were so energetic and we always did stuff as a family. . . ( my brother is 12 yrs older and my sister is 14 yrs older)

they still do more stuff with their grandkids than some parents do with their OWN kids!!

i think that is why i feel like i am not in any rush to have kids

My mom is 52 and my dad is 55. I think they were young when they had me (22 & 25). I think our generation seems to work on school and a career before having a family.

My sister is 27 and brother is 12 (a surprise baby haha) I think the 12 year old keeps them young...lol

my mom is 59 and my dad passed away 2 yrs ago at 59.. so hed be turning 62..

i'm 30.. so my mom was 29 when she had me and my dad was 31..

My mom is 53 and my dad is 54. I'm 27.... my mom was 26 and dad was 27 when they had me.

my dad is 48

i'm 25 (and an only child)
soooo my mom was 22 when she had me i liked having young parents. my grandma is fairly young also (i believe 65).

id like to have 2 when im 28-32

i feel the same way about how my parents were and their ages. i want to start having kids before 30 for that reason.

my parents:

dad - just turned 50 on friday
mom - will turn 50 in january

i'm 26 and my brother will be 30 next year!! so my parents are def youngsters!! lol...

My mom will be 47 in a few weeks

my dad just turned 54

im 27 so my mom was young when she had me...my grandmother on moms side is 65

But I look at Fh's parents who are a little bit older and they're so active.

His mom is 56, his dad also in his late 50's

His dad plays sports every week...he played for softball leagues until he was about 55, he stopped just a few short years ago bc of an injury and even played together with FH. He plays basketball every week and is very active. Its funny bc he plays Basketball with alot of FH's friends and when we see them they're like 'YOUR DAD IS CRAZY' he slam dunked on me and you cant win a call with him he'll never lose the arguement.

Fh's mom looks amazing for her age, very active. She is always up and about doing things, goes to the gym every week. At parties we attend, she'll outlast anybody on the dance floor and im not exaggerating, she wont sit down the entire time...she has been dancing forever and still loves to do enter into competitions here and there, was even going to weekly dance classes up until not long ago.

My parents had 'me' late.
my mom is 54 and my dad is 64. My mother was 31 when she had me. I want to have my first child at 25.
young parents are so much fun.
