How old is too old?

Everyone asks me why I'm getting married at my age.. I don't think by the time i get married 29 going on 30 is too old?? what do u all think?

I don't think there should be an age limit on this. You could be 80 and get married.

Are you sure they're not saying that you're too young?

WHAT??? I can't believe people. We were both 30 when we got married! Some people said we were too young I kid you not sooo you can't listen to people, it happens when it happens! I wanted to get married by 27 at the latest but it just wasn't the time...

I was 37 when I got married and DH was 32. It was a first marriage for us both. Only two of my friends got married in their 20's. Everyone else waited until they were over 30.

People are just so stupid AND insensitive sometimes!

This sounds like one of the most insensitive, rude and ignorant things i've ever heard someone say to a bride.

i can see people being concerned if you're getting married at 21 (by the way, i don't care how old anyone is) but 29?? too old?? Thats a statement made by someone who's either too young to know better, or too old to care what they say anymore.

Ug, people make me sick sometimes, they should stop worrying about other peoples business.

In the 11th century 29 was an old maid, but come on, this is 2005! Unless your from a third world country 29 isn't too old. infact most people would say before 29 would be too young. I'll be 26 when I get married. The only people who have ever given me lectures about being so old where the elderly whom were often not there. My grandfather use to tell me 'the virgin mary was 14 so I don't to hear that 19 is too young!' Don't let them get to you, do what you want!

Who's to say what age someone should get married. As long as your not 18 (I think that's a little too young)I'm 23. People say I'm too young. I don't feel that way. Fh is 29. We've been together 3 yrs. We love and care for each other. We feel it's time.

Absolutely no way is 29 too old. First of all, there's no such thing as too old, if you were 73 before you met the right guy and you wanted to marry him, you'd still be the perfect age. Your marriage and your wedding are about how much you two love each other, not about how old you are or how long you waited before 'settling down.'
I'm on the other side of the scale, I'll be 23 at my wedding and think that is WAY too young to get married, in general. But I'm learning that generalities just don't always hold true...
