Everyone asks me why I'm getting married at my age.. I don't think by the time i get married 29 going on 30 is too old?? what do u all think?

What??? That's crazy...are you sure they think it's too old? Maybe you look young and they mean you're too young? I also think that's a pretty average age to get married.
ETA: I actually know many people that think you should NOT get married younger than 25...not that I agree with that either.

Not at all!! That is crazy....
I'm 27 and getting married in 6 days. And turning 28 in Dec. Fi is 29 now and turning 30 in Feb.
So I would not listen to them.

I turned 40 last week. By the time my wedding rolls around I will be 41, he will be 43 going on 44. It is the first marriage for both of us. Anyone that thinks 29 going on 30 is too old (or too young) is just nuts IMHO!

I'll be 27(closer to 28)and FH will be 30 when we get married, so we'll be about the same as you! I think that's the average age now! Maybe the people you're talking to are from another era - like my parents who got married at 18 and 21 (OMG)!

I will be almost 32 and my FH will be 33 by the time we get married and it's the first wedding for both of us, so no, it's not too old!!!
Next time someone says that, let them know it took you this long to find someone worthy of you and that you wanted to be financially secure!!

They probably think you are younger then you actually are!! People say that to me all the time and when I ask them how old they think I am they tell me 19....25 really and almost 27 when we get married. You look young and people are silly.

It's never too old! I think the average age for gwetting married is mid/late 20's. it's never EVER too old and 29 is not old at all!

I hear ya!! We will both be 30. If I had a dollar for each time I was asked 'Is this your first marriage?', the whole wedding would be paid upfront in cash!
I'm the first girl in my family to go to college and not be married with kids before 20. (Not that there's anything wrong with that) I wouldn't have it any other way! I think about the guy I dated when I was around 20 and thank God I waited!

We will both be 35 on our wedding day. What were we supposed to do? Hmm, I could just be a spinster and live with cats for the rest of my life (WHICH I ABHOR) and FH could get the arly bird special at the local diner having dinner at 3 pm. Perhaps we should give up and say 'Oh well we are too old and now my eggs are dried up and we may as well put ourselves on the waiting list for Shady Pines in FL.' That has to be the most ridiculous thing I ever heard.

hi, ok, i am not sure if that post was serious. i thought you were going to say you were like 40(not that 40 is old) but most people now a days get married at or after 25. so now that you are going to be 29, you should never get married? i am really confused about this post... lets take a poll..... how old will you be when you get married?
