How should I wear my hair? Need help

As much as I have been procrastinating, I think I need to go for my hair trial soon. I need ideas--I was thinking down, or 1/2 down, but I just don't know. I don't want an up-do with straight back--I think it looks too severe with my face...Any ideas? I will post a pic. of me in the dress....I have a tiara but haven't decided if I will wear it.

ETA: Can't find pic of the whole dress--must have cropped this to post sometime...Anyway, the bottom is straight...

I look funny if I have all my hair slicked back. I got a style similar to this with some long sidebangs still out that sort of just framed my face. The top was looser, more softer looking too.

My FH made a good point yesterday. He asked me if I was wearing my hair entirely up. I said yes. He asked why. His point is that he is so used to seeing me with my hair down that he never understands why people just then go and slick it all back in a bun.

Yeah but there's more hair styles that can be done that are more than sticking them in a bun. Hair down is fine too, but my hair doesn't look THAT great down, so I thought against it. Plus it's pretty long and would be in the way.
