How soon after the wedding are you leaving for the HM?
I'm just curious how soon after the wedding is over that everyone plans to leave for their honeymoon?
I figured I'd take a day after the wedding to just relax and breathe. But my FH's brother recommended to us to leave the morning after the wedding for Hawaii so we'd just sleep through the whole plane ride. He said if we don't sleep on the plane, we'll be exhausted when we get to Hawaii and will lose like a day and a half there. So he said after the wedding we'd be so tired, that we'd just sleep right through the plane ride and be better off.

We are getting married on a Sunday and leaving for the honeymoon on Tuesday night. I think you definately need that day to relax and catch your breath

we are going to hawaii too. we are getting married fri night and leaving monday morning, 6am. I dont think you will be too tired to do anything if you dont sleep on the plane!! you going to be so happy and excited!!!

Saturday evening reception, leaving for Austrailia on Monday on a 7pm flight.

Our wedding was on a Sunday and we left the following Sunday. So a week later. I don't know how anyone can leave the day after the wedding. I would have lost my mind. I definitely needed that extra few days to tie up some loose ends from the wedding. Plus, I still had a lot of family in town that I hardly ever get to see. It just didn't make sense for us to leave right away.

We are leaving the morning after! Our wedding is a day wedding so itll all be over with by 5.... We will have plenty of time to relax at the hotel that night... Ummmmm and have a little fun!

Good question. We are getting married Sunday. I want to leave on Tuesday, but FH wants to leave the next day!

our wedding is sat afternoon, we are taking an 8:30 PM flight from JFK to London on sunday :)

I definitely suggest waiting at least a full day after your wedding ends to leave for your HM. The day after, I just wanted to sleep late and relax a little bit, organize my things & go through my envelopes. Plus you won't feel as rushed that way.
