We dont have a date in mind or even a time of year... heck we are not even 'officially engaged'...LOL. But we talk about it all the time.
We wont be getting married for another 2 years probably... but I cant even narrow down a time of year let alone date.
I love the thought of a spring wedding with pastel colors and beautiful Peonies... At the same time... The vision of a winter wedding in the snow wearing a beautiful gown and fur(faux) shrug would be a dream as well.
What finally made you have a 'TADA' moment and you knew exactly what your vision was?
eta.. last we were talking about 4th of July and making it a summer celebration. We are in Vegas and the fireworks and surroundings would be pretty.. BUT HOT! If we did a winter wedding it would be in the mountains somewhere.. destination .. which is no big because everyone would have to travel to be here anyhow (no family here)

Re: How the heck did you decide on your date?
We got engaged in July '07 and I wanted to get married August 16,2008 bc it would be our anniversary but with both of us being teachers, we wouldnt be able to go on our honeymoon bc school starts a few days later.
We decided on a June wedding instead and just looked at the calendar and pointed to that weekend, we didnt care if it was a Saturday or Sunday, but we eventually went with the Sunday bc it's $45pp cheaper than Saturday. So thats how we booked June 28, 2009!
I'm actually excited that we'll have the whole summer off to enjoy married life before going back to work in september

I always wanted September and it turns out that my FI's grandparents got married on 9/14 so we chose that date.

Ever since I can remember I wanted a September wedding. September was a special month for me; my birthday, my sisters birthday, my moms birthday, my nieces, two of my bridesmaids etc. Very busy but very special. We got engaged in September so there was one more special event.
We wanted a Saturday night wedding in September and having it in 08' was too soon so we went and pushed it back to 09'. The day we got engaged was 9/21 so if you flip the 21 you get 12 and there you have it ... September 12, 2009

There are 4 wks between our graduation and the start of residency. I gave myself 1 wk after graduation and 3 wks to have a wedding, HM, and set up our new place! Stressful, but hopefully having a year and a half to plan will make it a little easier.

Re: How the heck did you decide on your date?
I knew our date a few months after we started dating... we had our first date on 4/4/04, and a few weeks after that I knew he was 'the one'. One day my mom said to me aww, you had your first date 4/4/04, if you get married it should be on 8/8/08! I absolutely loved the idea... and that is why we picked the date!
