When we found the venue we wanted we decided to ask them to throw in some extras by saying 'at other halls they also included this, this and this. What can you give us to make it comparable?' Also usually you can ask to take out stations at CH and that usually lowers the price as well, so maybe instead of 5 stations, get 4. My other word of advice is to get EVERYTHING written in your contract; we got them to throw in some top shelf liquor and made them right it on our contract so they can't go back on their word day of. Good luck!

What venues are you looking at? We might be able to give you an idea of cost if someone went to look at them

There was one vendor we reallllly wanted but it was out of our budget. We told the vendor we really loved their work and we would have LOVED to work with them but we thought they were out of our budget. The vendor asked us what our budget was and we answered honestly and met somewhere we were all comfortable! Honesty is key! I tried not to beat around the bush and majority of the time the vendors worked with us! My friend and I went to see the same vendor (I won't say who and neither of us used him) and were quoted $1300.00 difference! Both for Friday weddings in the same month! I think they expect some sort of neogtiation and if a vendor wants your business they'll def try to make everyone happy! :) Good luck!

Fox hollow wouldnt lower prices but they threw in extras like exit table, pasta course, suite for night of! We also got an amazing deal on the somerlay bc they werent done building the cocktail room yet and said bc we were 'trusting' them we paid less a plate. We met with dave he was great!

I went to see Crest Hollow but the BM just turned me off. She didn't even want to be bothered. I met with Lorena at Westbury Manor and she was awesome. Some items that CH was charging us as extra, Lorena was throwing them in. At the time it was down to Cresthollow and Westbury Manor and I told her that and she started throwing stuff in and slashing the price. The menu didn't include Pasta as a section during the reception and she added it as well as the dessert stations for VH. In the end, their small rooms looked tight for the guests we were thinking of having and the big room required more of a guarantee so we scratched it off our list. I also went to a wedding this August at Woodbury CC. The grounds are very pretty and the room is nice too but the food wasn't that great. I don't know if they have different menus to pick from but I went home hungry and I love to eat.
