Call me stupid, but I don't know how the hair/makeup trial process works. Do you book with a hair/makeup person before you do a trial? Or do you do a trial with a number of different vendors, the results of which help you choose?
I'm coming from out of town (DC). Is it worthwhile to make a 6 hour trip for trials?

I think there is a bride on here (ziamaria) that did not have a trial b/c she came from oot and it looked great...

I live about 15 minutes away from the salon where I will be getting my hair done the day of the wedding and I am having a hard time with the idea of spending any time or $$ on a trial. I would just get some referrals and look at pics of updo's the hairstylist has done. Although it probably depends on your personality and how badly you want to know exactly what your hair will look like the day of the wedding.
