how to negotiate the hall price

Anyone have tips or what I should say? We found the place and I'm very excited now - I was just very stressed now I love it! I was told to try to negotiate before you book and you can get the price lower or things thrown in? any suggestions when I call?

Thanks!!!

how to negotiate the hall price

how much are you looking off? and what did they offer you? im negotiating between 2 places. I got 1 to drop down the price and offer me more stuff . I'm waiting on the other to see if they will drop down price.
I told them it was out this place and this place. I want to keep my budget around this amount and this place offered me this and this. what could you do? something of that sort.

how to negotiate the hall price

ill take anything - its still a great price but I want to save anything i can. This place is 1400 more than the other place we were considering for 200 people. I didn't even start negotiating yet. they gave me the prices on their chart. I wouldn't even mind them throwing anything in but what would they typically throw in?

how to negotiate the hall price

Things we got thrown in were an exit station, ice cream sundae bar (fh is so excited lol), pasta course, and something else I forget.. Maybe try for a specialty station at cocktail hour link margarita station or mashed potatoes bar.. Whatever you guys are into. We decided fox hollow offered so much at cocktail hour, we would rather add on to dessert with the ice cream. They wouldn't work with us on price, so this is what we ended up with.

Re: how to negotiate the hall price

oh I didn't know that! I told him i'm having 200 - which I think might be more since our list is 250 and my mom and dad want to add more, and he put 150 min.

how to negotiate the hall price

Upping the minimum will DEF bring down the price. We got a crepe station thrown in, some money knocked off the ceremony, extra dessert added and a discount on the ice sculpture. I was dead set on that Crepe station so I was sold once they threw that in. Once place offered a Martini station with an ice sculpture they came out of, I would have really loved that here Upgrading to a second dessert sometimes they do pretty easy too

You can always try - 'we are seriously considering two venues -with you in the top spot. However, the other venue is willing to come down to XX$ and throw in XX - which is where we would like to be price wise and is therefore swaying our decision. What do you think you can do for us? If we can get to a place we are happy with, we will book with you'

how to negotiate the hall price

Yes, I agree with all the ladies. We went really low on price so when they countered they could meet us halfway (which in reality was our price point). If they can't work with the price because of the time of the year or whichever, I say go for it and see what they will throw in. Whether it's additional, extra stations both savory and sweet, upgrades on the cake (if applicable), shots or carafes for the tables if it isn't already included, dinner tasting or cocktail tasting....ect. And yes, definitely tell them you're on the fence and that they're neck and neck with another venue. When they know that, they will negotiate.
