I am usually a size 2 and they ordered me a size 8.

I normally wear a size 10, my wedding gown is a size 16.

Mine is a Moonlight.....they only ordered one size bigger. I am usually a 6 in a dress, they ordered me an 8.

I usually wear a size 4 and I ordered a size 8. She showed me the chart, I thought it was ridiculous!! I don't know why they run so small (it's a Demetrios), I mean I know I'm thin so I really didn't care but I felt so bad for you girls that are so weight conscious!! It's so horrible to play mind games with us brides like that!!

I think they measure from your largest area bc it's easier to take a dress in than it is to let a dress out - so, depending on your body type, I think it could be a few sizes over.

BECAREFUL! a lot of dishonest gown venders will switch the right size of the wedding gown to a size too small or too big, so the bride is forced to have the dress she wants altered. For example if your a size 12 they may give you a size 8 and you'll be forced to let the dress out. If your a size 6 they might give you a size 10. Before you agreed for the alterations, demand to try on a larger or smaller size. If they say they don't have them, tell them to order it. Its one thing if mabye the sleave is too long, or the chest too small but a whole dress come on, they can order it!

I wear a 6 and my dress is a 12! Let me tell you I should have gotten a 10 - I lost 15 0 20 lbs - thank god it is a maggie sottero - with a corset back

I normally wear a size 8 or 10, and my gown is a 12. Some designers post their sizing charts on their websites, so check it out if you are concerned. Mine (Eden) has theirs posted, so I could see that yes, I needed the 12.

I have heard that the dress sizes haven't changed with the 'times'. They are true to the sizes of many years ago.

So while now I am a 6 or 8, and my dress is a 10, I really should be a 10!!!!

They are smaller then the usual size, I am between a 9 and 12 (depending on the store) and I ordered a 16.
