How was everyone's weekends?

I need a little while for my brain to wake up before I can think of a QOTD, so I'll post it when I get to work.

So how was your weekend?

Mine was good - I went dress shopping Saturday morning. I didn't find 'the one' but I found two I really liked - AND I got to meet Luz Ann and Alison! Afterwards FH and I looked at a bunch of co-ops, then went to dinner with our friends. We built a fire in my backyard and just hung out bc it was so nice out.

Sunday we visited FH's cousin who just had a baby (so cute!) then went to some Open Houses and hung out at FH's house the rest of the day.

And now it's Monday again.

fought my way through 2 hours of beach traffic coming home from albany on saturday morning and celebrated FH's b-day at my mom's on saturday followed by a celebration with friends later that night. yesterday we had plans to drive to new rochelle for a work-related (FH) BBQ, but considering the torrential downpour, we canceled and spent the whole day snuggling & relaxing

Mine was good, also!!

FH and I went to look at a house in Rocky Point. We are going to keep an eye on it to see if the price goes down a bit. After that, we both had family over so we spent time with both sides.

Sunday was a very relaxing day because of the weather. We had our normal Sunday family dinner and watched movies.

mine was good....

saturday: i worked until 4, then went out with my MOH for her birthday...then we went to target (where i saw mazz and mr. mazz). when i got home, i just vegged out with the tv and LIW!)

sunday: i woke up and ate breakfast with FHs family...then i went to work for 1 hour (our power went off, so i left!) then i went to the mall...around 5 me and FH went to the smith haven apple store to have my macbook fixed. then we ate greeks to go (my fave greek place) in setauket. then we came home, wii boxed and went to sleep

then this am, i woke up at 6:15 and im at work now!!

Pretty good... Friday night we went to this place called Central in Astoria for a friend's birthday.

Saturday we just stayed in, which was nice.

And Sunday we hung out with my family, saw Stepbrothers (AWESOME!) and gave Jeter his first bath!

Good weekend:

Friday we had a wedding at THe Garden City hotel which was nice.

Saturday a girls night in the city we went to BUDDAKAN for dinner and it was great!!

Sunday was a lazy rainy day. FH and I went to the movied to see Stepbrother which was stupid funny!!

We had a great weekend, thanks.

Friday we went for a walk on the beach.

Saturday we had a flower appt, and went to some hotels to get block info.

Sunday we had another flower appt and then did some stuff around out place and relaxed.

It was definitely a wedding planning weekend

My weekend was SO MUCH FUN! We went out with friends Friday night for dinner outside (what abeautiful night) & then headed inside to watch the game (Yankee/Redsux) Saturday we had a BBQ with friends from Atlanta & bunch of other friends! So fun we got home early the next morn we were having that much fun! lol Yesterday it rained but we had FH's fam reunion that got moved indoors but we had a blast anyway! GOOD TIMES!

Saturday went to Maggie trunk show where not only did I meet Alison and Kristen BUT I found MY DRESS!! Woo -hoo
Went to FH cousin's house afterwards who had a BBQ and stayed there all night
Yesterday FH and I began our registries at Macy's and Fortunoff. Then came back home to have some dinner and watch tv...

Too bad weekend had to end...

Well, i was productive. booking a place and getting a dress!!!
everyone else sounds like they were pretty productive also!

We had a great weekend! My best friends wedding at Gurney's in Montauk...


Friday: Got on the road at 4am to make our way to NY from our house in Maryland. We made it to moms house in Selden in 5 hours flat, which is ok time considering I was driving slow for FHs sake, I have made it in 3.5 hour some times...

Anyway then we had breakfast at moms house and went to meet with our Priest who is marrying us. He told us we need to start organizing our ceremony and gave us a book on how to do that. It was very exciting, and really started to hit FH and I that the wedding is on its way!!

Then over to my Brother's house to see him and his family. My Nephew is getting so big! He's 8months now!! Brother and sister in law had just a BIG fight. FH took my brother out of the house while I stayed with Sister in Law and the baby. I helped her cool down. The fight was all my idiot brother fault. When the boys got back, FH and I sat them down and had them talk things out. We made my brother to see the error of his ways and my Sister in law to forgive him. I was so proud of FH and I for doing that.

We left Brothers house to head to riverhead to check into our hotel. We could not afford to stay out in Montauk, some hotels out there wanted 300.00 per night with a 3 night minimum!!

We headed over to Montalk aroung 3 and got caught in the worst traffic! You'd think they would make rt 27- 2 lanes instead of 1!!!!
We made it to Gurney's for the Reherasal at 5. What a Beautiful Location!!! If you want a Beach wedding, I HIGHLY suggest getting Married Their! WOW! It was so beautiful!!

The RD was at the Montauk Yaght Club. Another Beautiful place, and the food was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!

Sat: Was the wedding, and let me tell you it was prob one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever been too. The location was amazing, the food was great! The brides attention to those little touches really made things come together. I got so many ideas for my own wedding it was great.

The DJ was Absolute Entertainment. They were OK. The MC was great, and I think they did an ok job of feeling out the crowd and playing music that best fit the personality of the audience. My pet peeves with some 'wedding DJs' is that they dont really know how to mix music so they play an entire song rather than mix it with others to create a session of high energy music, like they do in the Clubs. Which is one reason that I booked a DJ company who has club experience. All in all I think the DJ did a great Job and I'd recommend them. I would HIGHLY recommend Gurney's as well. The photographer, Im not sure which company he was from, was not very good and made my friend, the Bride upset on many occasions. He screwed up so much that it made me very happy that I hired a wedding planner to keep my vendors in check and to keep everyone on a time schedule.

Sunday: Drove back home, but made a stop in Jersey to visit FBIL. Who is doing very well. He has a new girlfriend and he mentioned introducing me to her. Me and FH agreed that he must really like her because he has never done that before.. so we'll see. My FBIL is the sweetest! I love him very much!

We made it home in time to see Bridezillas.

All in All it was a great weekend!!!

It was a so-so weekend. I saw so-so because I got back from Myrtle on Saturday. I am sad. I miss it already! Then yesterday I vegged out. The weather was so crappy that I stayed in all day. I needed the R&R though.
