Re: How was/will your gown be bustled?

Well the traditonal just shows off the train a lot more than the french.. I saw a french on my friends dress and it looked kinda messy, so Im thinking they did it wrong

Re: How was/will your gown be bustled?

I don't know what the difference is...all I know is that mine had to be bustled underneath.

My friend had three buttons on the outside back of her dress and when it was buttoned it didn't look so good. Someone also tripped on her dress and ripped off the button, letting the whole train down.

Re: How was/will your gown be bustled?

First is my gown:
Second is how it will be bustled: - They said it was a 'double french' - I don't know, I just LOVE it !!! .........uh oh - Can't post the bustle pic. Kind of defeats the purpose.......I'll keep trying !

I think the french bustle goes under and attaches in one place and an austrain and 2 or moreattachments or 'tiers'

Re: How was/will your gown be bustled?

I had traditional sweep train. I wanted a french but because I had a cathedral train and my dress was so heavy, I could not do a french.

Re: How was/will your gown be bustled?

I had the french because there was a lot of detail on the bottom of the dress and this way it was able to be better displayed.

Re: How was/will your gown be bustled?

I really wanted the double bustle, but with the beading on the bottom of my gown it just would not work. It took away from the detail. I went with the traditional Victorian bustle.
