Just the other day, I ordered a drink while at Chili's and the girl ID'd me (which at first I was happy about) but then when she saw how old I was she was like 'Oh, haha'. Beyotch, why is that funny?!? I'm 30, I'm not OLD!

Have you ever received a comment from a stranger that sort of solidified that we might be much older looking than we think we are???
Yesterday on the subway it was really crowded and I squeezed on and a younger guy (maybe around 20) squeezed on after me and accidentally crashed into me as the doors closed. So he apologized and then called me ma'am ('I am sorry for knocking into you ma'am!')! Oh no......
hahaha i totally know what you mean... but down here in SC, everyone calls everyone ma'am! i'm like, i'm still a miss! haha

HAHAH that always gets me too! I HATE being referred to as a lady - but I guess there are worse things to be referred to as.... right?

I hate when I don't get ID'd one day I remember fh got id'd and not me.... he's 5 years older than me!
there was this day when maintenence had to come to the apartment to fix something and the worker asked if my mommy or daddy was home... I was so shocked I just said 'no....?' hahaha
I had no idea how to respond to this... then I managed to tell him I live here with my bf (at the time) and he was like '...okaaay...?' he still basically refused to come in and I thought it was weird.
A few days later... fh mom is part of the committees of the co-op so she saw the maintence report that said, '13 year old girl answered the door - I did not enter' v
Are you for real??? 13??? I was sooo mad!

Omg me too! Its so annoying. I'm 27 and I always get 'Yeah right, you look 16.' While everyone tells me I'll appreciate that in a few years, and I will, it doesn't help now.
I have to agree with this. I am 23 and a teacher. Most people do not believe I teach middle and high school kids. They think I am in high school! When I first started observing in schools in my third year of college, one kid asked me what grade I was in! I was in a suit! I would like to at least be taken seriously. I am not a kid!

Me too!! I can't go ANYWHERE without being carded! I'm gonna be 25 in March, and people sometimes make me take my license out just to have them scan it b/c they think it's fake!!! Are you kidding me?? LOL

i interned at a HS and everyone ythought i was a student... when i had to get an ID card... i was asked if i was a freshman ... hahah sry, but i havent been a fresh for about 10 yrs now...
i also found out later on in the yr that all the lil boys had crushes on me and would ask some of my counseling cases who i was LOL

I was standing in line at the store last weekend and a guy bumped into me, he apologize, it was fine, then his kids bumped into me, hes like, Jacob, get over here, I already bumped into the lady and she's gonna yell at you, and then he says, I'm so sorry Ma'am...I'm like........forget it.......eventhough I could've been his kid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
