How you met your FH

Hey girls,

I thought it would be fun if we could all share our stories of how we met our FH......I will go first, lol.

I met my future husband almost 9 years ago when my cousin and his friend introduced us. My cousin was dating his friend at the time and thought that we would like each other. We hit it off and have been together ever since.

I met him through myspace about 2 yrs ago! One night I was bored and filled out one of those surveys that everyone does. The next day I was rushed to the hospital and was there for about 3 days (bad tonsilitus infection that was spreading everywhere!...not fun) I got home and checked my messages and saw that he responded to my survey. He seemed like a nice guy, so I wrote back to him. We arranged to meet like a week later (after I was fully recovered) and we went to dinner and we were there for almost 4 hrs just talking and laughing...and the rest is history

We met at Buffalo Wild Wings across the street from our college. We were both meeting up with our mutual friend. We happened to sit next to each other at the table and talked the whole night! Then we didn't see each other the rest of the year- through the summer. I asked my friend about him but she never gave me his info, and I found out later he asked her about me, but never gave him my info.

Then the first week of school my senior year I went out to a few bars with friends and ended up at his Frat party (by this time I forgot all about him) I saw him from afar. lol, and asked that same mutual friend if he was single. She thought I was talking about someone else so she said oh, hes dating so and so, and I was sad, then she noticed I was pointing at someone else! Then she said, ohhhh him, no he's single, and dragged me over to talk to him. And, we hit it off and exchanged numbers this time. He remembered our whole conversation we had the spring before at BWW's. Then a few days later went on a date, and the rest is history!

we meet through my sister and her husband FH and BIL worked together for the same company and both my sis and BIl felt we would make a good matched so they set us up

I was friends with a bassist in a band. The bassist invited me to the city where the band was recording. I got there and the bassist wouldn't answer his phone. I was outside the studio wondering how to get in when I saw two guys from the band. I walked over and said 'I know you but you don't know me' and met Chris and another guy. They took me inside, excessive beer was consumed, Chris and I made out and the rest is history. And the band is no longer together...call me Yoko Ono.

woo hoo ..you're my date twin!! i didn't have one.. i'm so excited!!!!! lol

Totally unrelated - but FH & I LOVE that place...it's a shame there are none out here!!!

I didn’t meet FH on a dating website, but a fan website for David Bowie, lol. He posted his picture and I think I started drooling on my keyboard. This was waaayyyy back in high school, so I was silly to post “Omigod, (FH’s screenname), you’re absolutely gorgeous, will you marry me!?” I’m incredibly lucky he didn’t get terrified and avoid me or anything, lol. I guess he thought I was cute, so we started talking…yadda yadda yadda, he came over here for college, I lived with him for a year in Sweden, we’ve been together for nearly seven years and now we’re getting married!

That's soooooooooo awesome!!! I knew we got along for a reason! :)

That is such a nice story! What a thing to tell your kids! You HAVE to be playing some serious Bowie at the wedding!!!! How much do you LOVE Labyrinth btw??? Talk about drool....

i was walking into a club with a friend as we walked past FH. she told me whatever you do, dont talk to him. she went to high school with him and didnt like him. well, who comes up to me on the dance floor, but him.... we danced all night and exchanged #'s. that was almost 5 years ago and now were getting married. go thing i didnt take her advice!

That's right - you were my DJ Gaza connection...we're meeting with him next week!!! I LOVE that song - but my fave is You Remind me of the Babe...i just get it stuck in my head...and there it is now.... :) What babe? The babe with the power...
