Hey girls,

I thought it would be fun if we could all share our stories of how we met our FH......I will go first, lol.

I met my future husband almost 9 years ago when my cousin and his friend introduced us. My cousin was dating his friend at the time and thought that we would like each other. We hit it off and have been together ever since.

we met in a theater class where the instructor had us 'feel eachother's aura'
yes. that's right. we had to feel the other person's 'aura'
lol

we became friends but nothing else for a while b/c one I had a boyfriend, and two, he was so not my type.

To make a long story short...i was 16 in a bar...ya i know...and his friend hit on me because i was the only person dancing to drum and bass...i wasn't interested but he introduced me to his friends ...FH being one of them. FH, Joe patted me on the head and said 'cute' then walked away (he was wasted). later i thought i was chatting with female friend i was introduced to that night about some seriously depressing stuff i was going thru but turned out to be FH on her sn...and he was just so supportive and sweet. I still thought i was speaking with female friend and she worked in my neighborhood so we agreed to meet at her job and hang out after work. FH was there at her job with her we all hung out and he and i were inseperable from then on.

First we perpetuated the myth that we were goign to try and form a band together. Then we had an illicit affair. Months later we finally made it legit. Theres more to the story, but who knows who reads these forums!

through a sort of ex/more friend, at the mall. I pretty much forgot about him until 2 days later we ran into each other at a bar. I gave him my #, he called the next day (on a fri) we talked on sat. went out sun. been together ever since.

at first he wanted me to take his #. I told him if he really wanted to see me again to take my # cause i'd never call lol. he still calls me a challenge.

i was a bartender at the bar he hung out in! his friend owned it so he was there a lot! I knew he was different from the rest of the guys i had met right away!

One of my girl friends and I spent much of the summer after college hanging out with one of our guy friends and all of his friends. Now these guys were a blast. Wild and crazy, even big time players at the time, but very fun to go out with. I never pictured myself dating one of these guys. Anyway, my FH was part of that group of guys but for whatever reason whenever I went out he wasn't and vice versa. We don't know how we missed each other because we both feel we were going out with this group alot. Two years later my friends and the guys met up to go out in Long Beach. As we're sitting around playing drinking games, I'm sitting there questioning who this one quiet guy is that I've never seen before. He seemed to nice and laid back to be with this group of guys. I'm not one to be shy so I introduced myself to him. Everyone in the room fell silent when I introduced myself and couldn't believe that we didn't know each other. He came in the cab with us girls that night on our way to the bar and we've been together every day since....

We met at a local Dunkin' Donuts through an Ex-mutual friend of that time. We continued seeing eachother here and there at DD...eventually, FH gained the courage to ask me out (I'm older than him so I guess is was scary lol) The rest is history!

We met at a New Paltz frat party. I was visiting my friend at school and her friend was hooking up with one of his friends and we met at the party and the rest is history.

We met in high school. We had a mutual friend (that neither of us are friends with anymore!) and our 2 groups of friends started hanging out together. I liked him a lot right from the start, but he didn't feel the same. He eventually came around! LOL...and the rest is history. Well there is more, but you don't need all the boring details!

area one tour (concert at jones beach) 7/15/01! He was with his friends, I was with mine ... and our friends knew each other and met up! The rest is in the history books!

I was on the train going to a Slayer show with my ex and his childhood friend got on the train so he ran over to tell him to sit with us. Me and this guy locked eyes and were inseparable for the whole night. I gave him my number on a Band-aid and the rest is history.

He wrote to me and our first date was 12 hours! I have his first letter to me framed in the living room with the movie ticket from that date. We went to dinner, the movies and then back to my house to watch a movie...

I didn’t meet FH on a dating website, but a fan website for David Bowie, lol. He posted his picture and I think I started drooling on my keyboard. This was waaayyyy back in high school, so I was silly to post “Omigod, (FH’s screenname), you’re absolutely gorgeous, will you marry me!?” I’m incredibly lucky he didn’t get terrified and avoid me or anything, lol. I guess he thought I was cute, so we started talking…yadda yadda yadda, he came over here for college, I lived with him for a year in Sweden, we’ve been together for nearly seven years and now we’re getting married!
