Howard Stern...

Howard Stern...

I had Howard Stern's radio show on the other day, and one of his comments was a bit disturbing. A woman had called in, and he was trying to have her tell him her height and weight, as he usually does. Well, she was 5'8', and like about 135 pounds, and Howard responds with saying that she shouldn't be over 115. Then another woman who was 5'10', and 140 pounds,- he says she shoudn't be over 125. I know he is a very controversial individual, but is he out of his mind? A woman who is 5'8', and 115 pounds, is totally unrealistic, as is a woman who is 5'10'?, and 125 pounds. Is it that men are so used to women lying about their weight, that they think woman are less than what they actually are, or is Howard Stern just trying to grab everyones attention? I just thought I would share.

He has to be one of my least fav people. He does this stuff for shock value. My DH loves him.

I heard him say that Beyonce Knowles is fat. Come on! He is off his rocker. Maybe it is just for attention, but I saw him w/his girlfriend on some show and she was a blonde stick with boobs, so I guess he thinks that he is right to say those kind of things.

To each his own I guess. The man is a 6'4' string bean with a pinochio nose and bad hair, do you really think he has good taste???

I think its a matter of personal opinion. Im gonna sound old when I say this, but I've been listening to him for about 10 years now. I guess I've gotten so used to his comments about what he thinks is fat. There have been some beauties that he says could stand to lose 10 pounds. But he only speaks to what HE thinks is attractive. He likes them nasty skinny. I remember him saying once all women should have that kate moss look. Yikes!!!

Re: Howard Stern...

i listen to him all the time as well, and he has in incredibly warped view of what a woman should look like.
i heard him tell a woman caller one time that she wa too fat, and her entire goal in life should be to lose weight so she could be more attractive to men. (i stopped listening for a few months after that)
point being - he says what he says because maybe he DOES believe it, but mostly it's to get attention. and it gets him attention.
it's one person's opinion....and i guess his whole point is that he's entitled to his own opinion...and since he has a radio station, he can say his opinion, and act like his should be the only opinion allowed.
doesn't mean he's right

I have this theory on some men... Howard Stern is like my brother - they are OBSESSED with skinny skinny women... the reason why? They both have their own personal weight issues... Howard is alllways talking about his flab and it's so obvious that he's self conscious about his body... same thing with my brother... he was always big growing up so that when he finally lost the weight, the only kind of girl he would consider was someone super duper skinny... but that's the wonderful thing about life... everyone has different taste...my brother and howard stern love skinny girls, and there's nothing wrong with that, because there are plenty of men (fh included ) who love curvy women... it all evens out in the end

Thank you all for your opinions. Interesting, and true. What weight would you classify as super skinny/ thin/ average/ overweight for a woman who is 5' 7 1/2 tall?

I consider myself to be superskinny. I've been the same weight since HS. I'm 5'7' and 108 lbs. I'd love a few pounds .. and a couple of breasts.

I totally agree with Pale Bride about Howad Stern.

About what IS a regular or normal weight for a 5'8' woman, who knows, I feel like if you have normal blood pressure, normal cholesterol, and can run (not walk) a few miles, then you're fine, no matter what the scale says.

I think that has more to do with the fact that you're the prettiest girl he ever tried to date (and failed, I might add... )
